"Modulation for young musicians" is intended for teenagers attending Middle and High School and students in their first two years of college. An alternative title would be: "Learn composition the way the young Beethoven did". It includes many fully explained examples of Preludes by Bach, and sonatas by Haydn and Mozart and many more exercises for students to solve. All the exercises come with detailed solutions (presented in a way that does not exempt the student from actually doing the homework). The book differs from a previous edition ("Modulation in classical music for young musicians") in the addition of a chapter on string quartets by Haydn and Mozart. The book uses the Do, Re, Mi, ... notation. (An identical book using the A, B, C, ... notation is also available.)
