It includes personal experiences from the authors and compares current behavior and expectations with those of their former twenty-something self. This book covers the major topics present in a woman's life including beauty, wellness, finance, career, friendship, fashion, romance, and spirituality. Throughout the book the authors have integrated a social media element through different hashtags. These hashtags allow the reader to directly interact with the authors, as well as other readers, while reading the book; creating a sense of community. The authors of Lessons in Our 30's are long-time friends currently "figuring it all out".
