A Look at Resisting the Devil

A Look at Resisting the Devil

The man who would have victory in the Christian life must do something about Satan. In the event that he is permitted to work unnoticed, his proposals are sufficiently great to control the life of any Christian. Victory through Christ is "not automatic." The indwelling nearness of Jesus Christ does not dispose of the presence of Satan. You challenge "Isn't Satan a defeated foe?" Yes, but he is as yet an enemy. He was defeated by the Lord Jesus Christ. That thrashing has nothing to do with us...UNTIL WE RESIST HIM. Except if we make unmistakable move against the fallen angel, he isn't defeated to the extent that we are concerned. He is the exact inverse, a forceful enemy who triumphs over us every day. It is the point at which we move to "RESIST" him in Jesus' Name, that he flees. Not until that point.

Jesus is the perfect example of One Who realize how to pray and get results (We should pursue his precedent). Jesus put in hours separated from the people, praying and fellowshiping with His Heavenly Father. The times which He spent in prayer prepared him to minister effectively. As a believer, you can accomplish similar outcomes that Jesus did amid His earthly ministry and that's only the tip of the iceberg. Jesus stated, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do because I go unto my Father" (John 14:12). These more "greater works" can be practiced today, however only by believers who have a genuine spiritual prayer life with God. You were not made to live in bondage, brokenness, disappointment or failure. God needs you to live in true freedom, genuine wholeness and with genuine progress. Seeking God's strength, His presence and praying over every part of your life is critical to walking in His will and is key to walking in His will and in His wonderful plans for you. As you read and study this publication,"The Power Of Prayer"- I pray God for you by Ephesians 1:17,18 that you have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God and that the eyes of your understanding will be illuminated to know the truth.

Some of the time it is elusive solutions (hard to find answers) to life's issues when we need them the most. "Promises From God's Word," is an assortment of promises from God's Word (The Bible) designed as an important instrument for finding what God has to say about our specific needs or circumstances. Every section contains interesting inquiries regarding the matter, answers from Scripture (with references), and a promise from God's Word in the Authorized King James Translation (unless otherwise indicated). It is Dr. Wylie's expectation that this perusing and hope makes the Bible open, helpful, and accessible for all who reference its pages. Dr. John Thomas Wylie

It's anything but an upbeat thing to find that we are what's up in God's reality. This equitable carries us to another and greater inquiry. Could we ever change to become the sort of people God wants us to be? Can we come to believe God with the goal that we will obey Him? The appropriate response of Christians to this inquiry is, "Yes " God made us to belong to him. He doesn't abandon us. Despite the fact that over and over we choose our own specific way rather than his way, God still wants us to trust and obey him. Yet, by what means can that ever truly occur? Now and again we wish God would make us trust and obey him. In any case, God can't do that. He would make us scared of him, but not even God can make us confide in him. That can come about only when we ourselves come to love God. Only that can make us confide in God and want to obey him. Rather than attempting to make us love him, God continues showing us how much he loves us. This is God's way of bringing us to love him with the goal that we will confide in him and want to obey him. The genuine story in the Bible is the account of how God has helped us to know his love for us. This publication, "The Way Of God In The Old Testament," is about people and the things that transpired. It is about the way in which God used these people and events to help us with knowing his love for us. It is the story of God's way for saving us from being wrong, sinful and for helping us to bring about the kind of world that he meant his world to be. This publication is the beginning of the story. At the point when you have followed the story, "The Way Of God In The Old Testament," you will see that God's Way for us goes on into the New Testament. This is a long and exciting story. In this publication, "A Doctrine On The Christian Life," I planned to cover this field of Christian Doctrine. I perceive the treatment is lacking. The idea of the subject blocks ampleness. Who could give a satisfactory treatment to such a teaching? One ventures the supposition that the greater part of the adjustments in religious philosophy (Christian Theology) are the correct way. Men are turning their contemplations toward the need and the reality of disclosure, of man's wrongdoing (sin) and vulnerability, of both the individual and social disappointment of man without God, of the ampleness of God's grace for man's need, and of the sureness of Jesus Christ and his saving work for mankind's history. Man does not live by bread alone. It is more critical that man have something to live for than that he have something to live on; and existence without God isn't genuine life. Today, Modern man needs to confront that reality and acknowledge it. Reverend Dr. John Thomas Wylie
A Doctrine on the Beginning of Christian Life
In this publication, "A Doctrine On The Beginning Of The Christian Faith,"It points to the fact that God is working out through Jesus Christ and his Church a redemptive program on the earth. Redemption is to be the goal and peak of creation. There is nothing more profound in the mind and purpose behind God than his plan to redeem. God works out his redemption regardless of the restricting powers on the earth. The Bible says, "With wicked hands men crucified him, in doing so they carried out what was in the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God" (Acts 2:23). Jesus was crucified on our behalf. This is his redemptive work as it works itself out in human experience. What is becoming a Christian? What sort of a transaction is it? What do we mean by salvation? How is a man saved? These questions strike a chord when we think about them from the point of view of involvement and life. Is salvation something that takes place all at once or is it a continuous process? "The Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10). Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners" (I Timothy 1:15). "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved" (John 3:17). "He that believeth on him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already because he hath believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (Jesus Christ)" (John 3:18). The lessons in this publication, "God comes To Man In Jesus," are a study of the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ dependent on the accounts of the gospels of Mark and Luke. In spite of the fact that the occasions themselves are well known, there is open door for readers to make new applications to their own needs. The effect of the words and deeds of Jesus is genuinely necessary, so all Christians can come to affirm with the missionary Paul: "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." In one sense, Jesus was the most inventive, most uniquely creative individual who at any point lived, yet he was totally dutiful to his Father's will. Today compliance to God is as yet the way to control for inventive living. Jesus Christ makes his kids new people (II Cor. 5:17). Christians are reestablished in knowledge after the image of God. With that tremendous potential, for what reason would we settle for anything less than the best God has for us? Reverend Dr. John Thomas Wylie
The Reality of Heaven

The Reality of Heaven

This is a publication of biblical, spiritual, and theological insights of knowledge into the immortal subject: the Reality of Heaven. It originates from the spiritual experiences of a gospel pastor-preacher who has prepared himself for quite a while for that day when he would encounter how the "reality of heaven" is much better. If you are concerned about the reality of heaven, I have good news for you. While heaven will give the believer (the individuals who are redeemed) a final home, this publication clarifies the extraordinary, superb, eternal heaven that we are constrained to express in nullifications and images of loftiness and superbness-the well-known view that heaven is like the most lavish mansions or places we know on earth. But that greatly misses the mark concerning the reality of heaven. I recognize we all (adherents) are closer to heaven's gates than we might suspect. Along these lines, I approach the subject "the reality of heaven" with an all the more academic and increasingly spiritual intrigue. My spiritual intrigue made me provoke some famous ideas in this book, and my own interest incited me to address numerous important inquiries, for example, How do we gain entrance? Is heaven a place or state of mind? Will we know each other in heaven? Or on the other hand, Will our resurrection bodies be like? Who will receive rewards? What opportunities or occupations exist for the believer in heaven? This publication answers inquiries regarding the believer's final hope and the believer's final home-heaven. I trust this publication, The Reality of Heaven, will touch your spirit and mind as you read. Philippians 1:21-23 reads: "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour; yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better. -Reverend Dr. John Thomas Wylie
Angels and Spirits

Angels and Spirits

In this publication, Angels and Spirits, the scripture teaches that there is an order of intelligences higher than that of men and further asserts that these intelligences are connected with man in providence and in the redemptive economy. These intelligences are called spirits to denote their specific role and nature; they are called angels to denote their mission. We will investigate their involvement with mankind and their tasks. Nothing can be known of them other than that which is revealed in the scriptures. They are created spirits, but the time of their creation is not indicated. Many biblical scholars hold that such a creation must have been included in the statement found in Genesis 1:1 and therefore preceding the six days' formative period. The highest exercise of angels is to wait upon God. Their chief duty is to minister to the heirs of salvation. As we embark upon this reading, my hope is that you will come to take seriously the informative topics presented to you. We do not intend to dwell on Satan or his angels too much (only as necessary) but focus on the deeds and tasks of holy angels. -Reverend Dr. John Thomas Wylie
