This report examines climate adaptation strategies for 25 National Critical Functions (NCFs) at risk of disruption from climate change. The focus is on impact pathways, each of which is a combination of climate drivers (such as drought and flooding) and impact mechanisms (such as physical damage and workforce shortages) affecting a given NCF. The emphasis is on strategies that owner-operators of critical functions might implement.

This report summarizes the findings of a study to develop an item bank of barriers to mental health care--a repository of survey questions phrased in a nonbiased way about different aspects of mental health treatment and avoidance--for the Department of Defense (DoD); establish the reliability and preliminary validity of the item bank and a short form; and identify options for how DoD can use the item bank to assess and monitor barriers to care.

Since 2013, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has embarked on a pioneering effort to advance a Culture of Health in which everyone in our diverse society leads healthier lives now and for generations to come. To put the Culture of Health vision into action, RAND Health supported development of an action framework and measurement strategy. This report summarizes the stakeholder engagement efforts RAND used to inform this work."

The RAND Program Classification Tool is an instrument containing questions and response options across eight key domains that allows for the consistent description of programs in the same content area. Such data can help program portfolio managers compare programs, avoid duplication, and target technical assistance. Developed for psychological health and traumatic brain injury programs, the tool has broader applicability to other content areas.

This report describes the RAND Online Measure Repository, a tool that contains descriptions of 171 measures of psychological health and traumatic brain injury. Detailed information is provided for each measure in an online searchable database, including measure domains, uses, psychometrics, and costs. This report describes development processes and contains summary information for each measure.

This report assesses the U.S. military s approach to reducing stigma for mental health disorders and their treatment, how well it is working, and how it might be improved. It presents priorities for program and policy development and research and evaluation to get service members the treatment they need as efficiently and effectively as possible."
