This book is intended for strengthening academic writing skills through authentic literature. Lower-level students often miss out on the opportunity to read authentic literature. ""Adventures in Composition"" is designed to introduce these students to authentic literature by developing their academic and paragraph writing skills. These stories by well-known writers will hold the students' interest as they explore writing from a new perspective - learning to use the work of good writers as a guide. Each chapter features a Writing Basics section and pre-writing activities followed by three writing assignments.
