Together Strong - Embracing Friendship with Kindness and AcceptanceThis is the second book in the Together Strong series, showing how children with and without disabilities can join and share in the many things that they have in common. The main characters in the series, Becca and Bobby, lead others by demonstrating, "together, we can shine." Emphasizing unity and collaboration, reflecting the theme of this book while encouraging all children can participate and support one another. This brings children together and encourages kindness and compassion to one another, while learning about each other's unique differences and abilities. Healing Thru Art - Art Therapy and DBT therapy working together to heal me from a debilitating eating disorder and trauma. Art Therapy and DBT were the tools that helped me break the barriers of my fears and anxieties. Every lesson learned and every brush stroke made offered an alternative to talk therapy. The Art Therapy was my safe way to explore and express the memories I had. The DBT was the tool which opened the doors for me to learn to express my internal experience. These two modalities of therapy gave me my life back. More than my laughter, more than my paintings. In 1996, Venice Beach, Ceit struggles with the confines of superstition and tradition that have defined the Society since its start. As her younger brother, Alan, turns eighteen, Ceit enacts a plan to end the Society for good. And in doing so, releasing Alan from what she sees increasingly as a toxic and antiquated way of life as well as freeing herself from her mortal ties to the human realm. In 1924, Ainsley Robertson lives in a secluded community outside of Cork, led by her father, an abusive and cruel ceannaire. Ainsley’s story opens with her expecting a baby in a world where being an unwed mother is a criminal act. Ainsley grows to realize her own gifts and connection to the world of the fae as she navigates a world dominated by dogma and oppression.
