Alice and her friends are steadily becoming more confident in their ability to survive in their new home. Far from civilization and under the protection of their growing dragon, Alice, Danahlia, and Kaliska revel in their new freedom, though Twinkaleni keeps focused on her mission. Finding what they come to believe is an unhatched dragon egg, Alice and her friends carry the treasure with renewed determination to reach Arsalia's northern border.
