Poise & Arrows is a collection of 200+ poems written by Australian writer Kimberley Castlemain. "The year that was one long, cold night, was poetry I could rewrite." Curated from a larger collection of over 1000, these poems were written over the space of two years while travelling through Canada, the United States, Australia, France and Mexico. The poems are little hymns of hope that belong to no religion in particular. With pieces as short as six lines, and others extending over a page, her themes encompass heaven, hell, angels, demons, love, hate, joy, regrets, chaos and order. She takes her inspiration from everywhere and anyone, and considers writing lyrics and poetry to be on the physiological level of Maslow's Hierarchy of needs - utterly impossible to live without.
