I came to the humble realization that homelessness is not simply a state of physical destitution. But homelessness is also a place of spiritual and emotional emptiness. It is very true that some live in a perpetual state of misfortune and need the relationship, the challenge, and the encouragement of others to "dare to hope" that their circumstances are only temporary.
