Dber das Epoophoron der Vogel einschlieBlich des Huhnes liegen nur liicken- hafte Literaturangaben vor (s. u. ). Spezielle Kenntnisse iiber Bau, Bedeutung, Reichweite und altersabhangige Struktur sowie Lageveranderungen der Epo- ophorontubuli fehlen. Durch die eigenen lichtoptischen Untersuchungen soUten die topographischen Beziehungen der Epoophorontubuli besonders zu Ovar und ebenniere abgehandelt werden. Die dabei gewonnenen Befunde iiber eine post- embryonale Umwandlung der WandepithelzeUen der Epoophorontubuli in steroidproduzierende Zellen des Eierstocks und der Nebennierenrinde werden durch elektronenoptische Untersuchungen abgeklart werden. Eine solche Um- wandlung ist beim Vogel bisher nicht beschrieben worden. Sie ist nur von einigen Autoren urn die Jahrhundertwende fiir Mensch und Saugetier behauptet worden, und zwar von Aichel (1900) und Pick (1901) als embryonales Geschehen fur die Nebenniere und von Harz (1883) und Chiarugi (1885) als embryonales und post- embryonales Geschehen fiir den Eierstock. II. Literatur Das Epoophoron geht bei Mensch und Wirbeltieren postembryonal aus der Epigenitalis des Mesonephros hervor. Beim M enschen entstehen Epoophoron und Paroophoron aus dem lumbalen, nicht degenerierenden Sechstel der Urniere (Starck, 1965). Sein Epoophoron besteht aus 10--14 Tubuli transversales, die in den Ductus longitudinalis (Gartner- scher Gang) einmiinden (Horstmann/Stegner, 1966). Das Epithel der Tubuli transversales wurde von Mathis (1932) fUr Driisenepithel gehalten, das wie die Zellen des Nebenhodenganges (Heidenhain/Werner, 1924) sezernieren solI. Den basalen Zellabschnitt nennt Mathis "Praparanten" und den apikalen "Sezer- nenten". Letzterer gibt fadige Sekret-Strukturen ab, die mit Kinocilien ver- wechselbar seien.
