This book presents recent advances in foreign language education as well as recent work on Chinese language education and CFL teacher development in international contexts. It also reports the results of three qualitative studies on the experiences and beliefs of teachers of the Chinese language in in Denmark.There are rising concerns over quality issues in both Chinese language education and teacher development in Scandinavian countries and worldwide, broadly due to China’s rapid growth and the increasing worldwide popularity of Chinese. What CFL (Chinese as a Foreign Language) teachers believe in teaching and experience in the intercultural context have proposed new questions and issues. The book addresses issues and topics such as teacher beliefs about Chinese language teaching, factors shaping teacher beliefs, the teaching of Chinese by both native and non-native teachers, Chinese language and culture teaching, intercultural encounters and challenges, etc. It provides both macro- and micro-level insights into the key issues and challenges in the development of Chinese language teachers in Denmark and the Scandinavian region.Taking the perspectives of Chinese language teachers’ beliefs and experiences, this book reveals teachers’ beliefs about their roles, objectives, and ways of teaching at the micro level. It also discusses the macro-level factors that promote or impede the adaptation of native-speaking teachers of Chinese and the development of Chinese-language education in this Nordic country. Although sensor fusion is an essential prerequisite for autonomous driving, it entails a number of challenges and potential risks. For example, the commonly used deep fusion networks are lacking in interpretability and robustness. To address these fundamental issues, this book introduces the mechanism of deep fusion models from the perspective of uncertainty and models the initial risks in order to create a robust fusion architecture. This book reviews the multi-sensor data fusion methods applied in autonomous driving, and the main body is divided into three parts: Basic, Method, and Advance. Starting from the mechanism of data fusion, it comprehensively reviews the development of automatic perception technology and data fusion technology, and gives a comprehensive overview of various perception tasks based on multimodal data fusion. It focuses on several aspects regarding the studying progression in the field of anthocyanins. The first section of the book provides a brief introduction to the scope and progress on anthocyanins, which is followed by the second section that describes the natural sources, structure, extraction approaches, bioavailability, and current stabilizing approach of anthocyanins. Then in the third part, the book focuses on the industrial processing of anthocyanins in foods by discussing the impact of food processing on anthocyanin structure and composition as well as classical processing techniques on anthocyanin-containing foods, including high-pressure, encapsulation, microwave, and combined application of the above techniques. In the last section of the book, the authors explore the currently most popular application of anthocyanins in improving human health, such as the effect of anthocyanin on vision, metabolism, neural system, cardiovascular system, and cancers. Through a mixture of intuitive, quantitative and qualitative methods, the book demonstrates how a pool of descriptors are collectively formulated, statistically calibrated and meticulously validated for the establishment of a proficiency scale of business English writing. The writing scale differs in significant ways from the existing language scales, most of which were constructed in English as L1 or L2 contexts and applied to English for General Purposes (EGP) domains. This book also provides important insights into the construct of business English writing as well as the methods for English for Specific Purposes (ESP) proficiency scale development and validation.
