The combined use of remotely-sensed images and GIS based environmental applications in this work is needed for systematic ideas and scientific planning in the Darbhanga district of Bihar. The index-based classification method was followed in an ArcGIS software and as a result, various indices such as NDVI, NDWI, MNDWI (Esri), MNDWI (IHS) had been obtained to assess the water-logged portions. The total area subjected to water-logging in the Darbhanga district was found to be 42,282 ha. The area of water-logging was found in the two sub-divisions of the Darbhanga district. The blocks of Darbhanga and Biraul sub-division, holding the water-logging area of 21,899 ha and 20,383 ha respectively. The surface drainage plan for the blocks of Darbhanga and Biraul sub-divisions have been expressed by showing the main drain lines and outlets which was based on the comparison of different thematic maps. The useful measures also have been suggested to execute the drainage plan in an active manner.

The research work reports the fabrication and characterization of PMMA nanocomposites using various nanofillers such as nanoclay (OMMT), Co-Al LDH, Cu-Cr LDH and Ni-Al LDH. The melt intercalation and solvent blending techniques were employed for the preparation of PMMA nanocomposites. The different properties of PMMA nanocomposites were examined by using XRD, TEM, FESEM, FTIR, DSC, TGA, DMA, tensile, flexural, impact, hardness, flammability and rheological analysis. The initial part addresses the fabrication and characterization of PMMA/OMMT nanocomposites by melt intercalation technique. Thereafter, the influence of different compatibilizers on the properties of PMMA/clay nanocomposites is discussed. The further section deals with the development of layered double hydroxides (LDHs) based PMMA nanocomposites (PMMA/Co-Al LDH, PMMA/Cu-Cr LDH and PMMA/Ni-Al LDH) containing various concentration of LDHs (1-7 wt.%). Subsequently, the final part describes the characterization of PMMA/OMMT, PMMA/Ni-Al LDH and PMMA/Co-Al LDH nanocomposites prepared by solvent blending method.

Traditionnellement, les feuilles de la plante sont utilis es sur les plaies pour favoriser la cicatrisation. Une plaie peut tre infect e par divers pathog nes microbiens et Staphylococcus aureus est le pathog ne de plaie le plus commun ment signal . Il a t tabli que les pathog nes microbiens retardent la cicatrisation des plaies par plusieurs m canismes diff rents.
