Quellenexegese aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Geschichte - Weltgeschichte - Fr hgeschichte, Antike, Note: 1,3, Universit t Kassel (Gesellschaftswissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Seminar Text und Kontext: R mische Republik, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der erste Punische Krieg zwischen Rom und Karthago " leitete] eine neue Epoche in der Geschichte des westlichen Mittelmeerraumes ein]." Ausschlaggebend f r die Ver nderungen dieser Zeit waren nicht zuletzt die Bestimmungen des ersten r misch-karthagischen Friedensvertrages von 241 v.Chr., der unter anderem die bernahme Siziliens durch die R mer und hohe Reparationszahlungen vonseiten der Karthager vorsah. Der Inhalt dieses Vertrages ist uns vor allem in den Historien des Polybios von Megalopolis berliefert, der um die Mitte des 2. Jahrhundert v. Chr. die Geschichte der r mischen Herrschaft beschrieb und dabei "wortreich die Forderung nach unparteiischer Darstellung erhob." Er selbst bewunderte jedoch die "einzigartige Erfolgsserie r mischer Machtpolitik," weshalb trotz Versicherung zur Unparteilichkeit kritisch mit dieser Quelle umgegangen werden muss. Im Folgenden soll die Bedeutung des ersten Friedensvertrages von 241 v.Chr. f r die weitere Entwicklung Roms untersucht werden. Dabei wird zun chst die Situation des r mischen Reiches unmittelbar nach dem ersten Punischen Krieg beschrieben. Nachdem die Umst nde des Vertragsabschlusses n her betrachtet wurden, sollen anschlie end der Friedensvertrag in seinen Einzelheiten untersucht und die daraus resultierenden Folgen f r Rom in den Mittelpunkt der Betrachtung ger ckt werden. Der erste Punische Krieg wird meist in Zusammenhang mit den zwei weiteren Punischen Kriegen in der Literatur betrachtet. Aus diesem Grund werden verschiedene berblicksdarstellungen f r diese Arbeit Verwendung finden.

Mit diesen Quellen ist stets kritisch umzugehen, da subjektive Meinungen und Absichten des Autors in keinster Weise ausgeschlossen werden k nnen. Deshalb sind auch viele Interpretationen m glich, die wiederum verschiedene Blickwinkel auf das Leben und somit auch die Gesellschaft der Germanen er ffnen - eine Schwierigkeit, aber auch eine Chance f r int

So beginnt Friedrich H lderlins 1796 erschienenes Gedicht Die Eichb ume. H lderlin ist einer der bekanntesten Lyriker aus der Zeit der Weimarer Klassik und Romantik. Doch zeit seines Lebens erfuhren seine Werke keinen so regen Zuspruch, wie es bei den gro en Klassikern Goethe und Schiller der Fall war. Im Gegenteil: Er stie teilweise sogar auf Ablehnung bei den zeitgen ssischen Dichtern. Die Eichb ume stellen einen Wendepunkt seiner lyrischen Werke dar. Aus diesem Grund soll dieses Gedicht nachfolgend unter biografischen und literaturgeschichtlichen Aspekten betrachtet werden. Zun chst sollen H lderlins Leben und Wirken in Bezug auf die damalige literarische Welt im Mittelpunkt stehen. Anschlie end wird seine Beziehung zu Schiller n her untersucht, die ma geblich die Entstehung von H lderlins Eichb umen beeinflusst hat. Den Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit wird die n here Auseinandersetzung mit dem Gedicht bilden. Die Interpretation Momme Mommsens wird dabei starke Ber cksichtigung finden, zudem aber auch diverse literaturtheoretische und -geschichtliche Abhandlungen. Es soll ersichtlich werden, was H lderlin dazu bewegt hat, eine andere Art von Lyrik zu schreiben und wie sich dieser Wandel in den Eichb umen ausdr ckt.
