This book demonstrates that Jesus is the bridge between God and man. Not the only bridge, but a bridge that makes experiential sense. Jesus is not the bridge in the traditional sense of being a blood sacrifice. For the cross supposes that God redeems His Creation through suffering and sacrifice. Jesus says that God's Creation does not need redemption ... but you do need to wake up. A god of retribution is a god made through the eyes of a confused human condition. However, because God's Creation sees no sin to forgive, the bridge between God and man is through real forgiveness, the forgiveness of humankind's confusion for the sins that never happened. Real forgiveness becomes a matter of seeing humanity's self-defeating history of repeating itself over and over again as being out of the human condition of ignorance and confusion. Because ignorance cannot see its confusion, the temptation is to erroneously see acts of evil instead. This book is not about a god of mystery or complications. Because God is love, this book is about a simple solution. A solution that has to do with your journey home to a place you never left.
