Der Autor liefert eine wissenschaftstheoretische und unternehmenspraktische Fundierung des Balanced Scorecard-Modells (BSC). Er fuhrte die groesste empirische Studie in Deutschland zum Thema Praktikabilitat und Effizienz der BSC durch. Es wurden zuerst die wesentlichen Unternehmensberatungen befragt, die z.Zt. die BSC als Beratungsdienstleistung anbieten. Daneben wurde eine umfassende Befragung von Unternehmen durchgefuhrt, die die BSC bereits eingefuhrt haben. Das Buch zeigt Starken und Schwachen sowie Chancen und Risiken der BSC auf. Es wurden Erfolgsfaktoren sowie Kosten und Nutzen einer BSC-Anwendung untersucht. Als Ergebnis der Untersuchungen wurde eine Checkliste entwickelt, die Unternehmen als Orientierungsrahmen bei der UEberlegung zur Einfuhrung der BSC dient.
