This $0.99 version of Typecast by Booker Woodman contains the first three ebooks, Typecast, Re-cast, and Cast-off, from a series of five ebooks entitled the Casting Couch series. The ebooks are completely readable and well presented, but they were put out before volumes 4 and 5 were written resulting in minor continuity errors only. You can continue with book four, Pseudo-castellation, and book five, Casting Couch, both at the regular price of $2.99 with no problems. If this offer is not for you, Type-cast by Booker Woodman can also be found as an individual book in the series, followed by book two, Re-cast - book three, Cast-off - book four, Pseudo-castellation, and book five, Casting Couch, all re-written & re-edited and priced at $2.99. Whichever way you would like to go, I can recommend this series to anybody who enjoys the 'odd' death, if only to gain a little understanding of what to expect if they too find themselves on the Casting Couch. 'Hold it right there ' is yet another option... the Casting Couch series as a 1 volume standalone edition, also $2.99

Followers of this chronicle may remember how Joseph's story, Polly on the Mopstick, concluded at 6.10pm on Monday, April 4th. 1881 with the three Kerwood brothers, Thomas, John and William finalising their first day of toil at their new callings at Olde New Farm in Noake village, Oxfordshire. And readers may also recall, Thomas, in his new-found role of Estate Manager, on vacating his office, had taken off his baggy ratting cap and tousled his greying hair in the warm spring breeze then wiped his moist forehead with his grubby jacket sleeve. He had heaved a thankful sigh that the day would be heralded as a great success. All had gone well and a suitable amount of progress had been made. The three brothers had to agree that if things carried on as they had begun then there was definitely a future for them working for Isaac Jakeman and his innovative project. Even so, Thomas accepted that all the unprecedented fortitude that was dropping at his immediate family's feet, as it was similarly at John's and William's, may at some stage come to an abrupt and crashing finality. 'When, and more importantly, at what cost' he reflected. Nothing was ever etched in marble. Heartache he could handle... heartbreak was a totally different matter altogether. He couldn't help but fret that it might not be too long before he found himself falling foul of one or the other... if not both simultaneously. Polly on the Mopstick had revolved around John Kerwood's son, Joseph, who was eight years old in 1881. In 1951, at the age of 78, when the paperback cover photos were taken, he may possibly have been the last remaining member of the Oxfordshire branch of the Kerwood family who were alive in 1881. He is pictured on the front cover of the paperback edition with his wife Eliza. His attire speaks volumes apropos his arduous lifestyle. On the reverse cover joining them in a family group is their youngest son, William, along with their eldest, John, standing behind their youngest daughter, Doris. Front and centre is Michael, William's only son and Joseph & Eliza's only grandson. Doris and the possing-tub, is Eliza's recollection of events and it reflects her life from a young rag-a-muffin right up until she is a beautiful woman of twenty.

This story takes place during a few days in April 1881 in and around the villages of Chesterton, Bletchingdon and Binsey, all in the county of Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, and in the village of Northfield, Birmingham, situated in the county of Warwickshire during a few days in April 1951.Residents of these villages will find that I have taken literal liberties and creative licence with their enchanting areas and hope that they will accept this work in the spirit that it is written.Isaac Jakeman was the owner of Coldfallow Farm. The actual estate name I have changed, but I have kept his name in the hope that his descendants accept that I have given him an agreeable personality and once again hope that they will accept this work in the spirit that it is written. As the Kerwood surname is used throughout I have tried to keep the ambiance true to life with the use of local names and properties wherever possible, hopefully without causing offence. Each Kerwood family member listed below existed; however, only one member is alive at the time of writing. The personas of the Kerwood family members alive in 1881 along with the storyline have hereby been envisaged. Any similarity to any other branch or member of the Jakeman family or a Kerwood family member, whatsoever spelling variation, or any descendant thereof from my branch in particular is purely coincidental. The story revolves around Joseph Kerwood who is eight years old in 1881. In 1951, at the age of 78 when the jacket photos were taken, he may possibly have been the last remaining member of the Oxfordshire branch of the Kerwood family living in 1881.

The characters in the narrative are fictitious although the story is based on a horrifying actuality.David Marchant is wanted for murder... the final countdown to his butchery is televised to the whole of the UK, replayed around the world and goes viral on YouTube. Once again, CI Peece and DS Meyal, have their work cut out as they realise that Marchant is not alone.

The Cast quintet - fifth and final part. This is a story about three cottages. They sit adjacent in an isolated lane in North Wales. In their time they have had many occupants, some of them have left of their own free will, and some of them... haven't. The first book replicates the immediate existence of our four main protagonists, who, for the first few pages, are very much two dimensional until Dogleg Lane and its three cottages stamp their illogical influence upon them. The four subsequent books follow them and other characters that get involved as they attempt to overcome the irrationalities and the body count that the cottages inspire. At the outset of Typecast by Booker Woodman the reader is unsure who the initial characters are, where they are and what is happening around them. It is not too long before we find out some of the answers. They are soon involved with several deaths, deaths that have been recorded over a period of many years, some of them achieved by malicious intent and others by mysterious events, but none of them resulting in convictions. The storyline has developed some charismatic characters, Peece and Reece, Fitz Ffastt, Agnes Hale, Harriet Aston and Alex Potter, to name but a few from a worthy list. But, be warned, the series does feature some colourful personalities, so I wouldn't read it to your nippers or send it to your aged great aunt as a gift. The interaction between the protagonists and the humour that they sometimes generate, dry, and at other times farcical, is refreshing in what can only be described as their disturbing and surreal circumstances. Casting Couch is book five and the final volume in this esoteric quintet, preceded by Typecast by Booker Woodman, Re-cast, Cast-off, and Pseudo-castellated. I recommend this series to anybody who enjoys the 'odd' death, if only to gain a little understanding of what to expect if they too find themselves on the... Casting Couch
