In the late 1990s, NATO led the Kosovo Force (KFOR), charged with stabilizing Kosovo and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia after genocide and other atrocities were carried out in the Balkan region. Operation Kinetic is not only a history of the origins and operations of the Kosovo Force but also a history of the vital operations conducted by the Canadian Army units and their allies assigned to KFOR during the crucial early days and months after entry into the province in 1999 and through 2000. Operating alongside American, British, French, Norwegian, Finnish, and Swedish forces, these surveillance and response units were instrumental in preventing violence in numerous areas before it could escalate and draw in the Serbian Army, which could have led to further genocide or war in the region. Sean M. Maloney, a Canadian military historian with extensive field experience in the Balkans, draws on numerous interviews and firsthand accounts of an operation that would later serve as a model in preparing for similar efforts in Afghanistan and provide a blueprint for stabilizing operations around the world.

Between 1945 and 1990 the Western Allies mounted some of the most audacious and successful intelligence collection operations of the Cold War. Conducted in great secrecy, aircrews flew specially modified transport and training aircraft along the Berlin Air Corridors and Control Zone to gather intelligence on Soviet and East German military targets in the German Democratic Republic and around Berlin. The Air Corridors comprised three regulated airways for civil and military air traffic that connected West Berlin to West Germany. Operating under the guise of innocent transport and training flights, the pilots used their right of access to gather huge amounts of imagery for forty-five years. They also provided the western intelligence community with unique knowledge of the organisation and equipment used by Warsaw Pact forces. For the first time, using recently declassified materials and extensive interviews with those involved, Looking Down the Corridors provides a detailed account and analysis of these operations and their unique contribution to the Cold War.

Cherry Picking: If the Cherries Aren't Low Enough...Get a Ladder by Mike Jackson exposes the pitfalls, hazards, and consequences of selective selling. Beginning with a well-argued premise, all the way through actionable and transformative approaches any sales professional can follow, author Mike Jackson makes an irrefutable case against cherry picking as a sales strategy. In this book you will identify how your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes influence critical sales decisions, especially when it comes to deciding whom you will, or won't, engage in your "A-game" sales presentation. Cherry picking thoughts are powerful and can manipulate the sales professional's decision to cut presentations short, or worse-reject fully qualified customers, resulting in another lost sale. Written with humor and clarity, Cherry Picking is an essential resource in any sales training curriculum, and a must-read for anyone striving for sales success.
Neil Armstrong was America's rocket man, the first person to set foot on the moon and turn science fiction into amazing reality. Award-winning authors Tara Dixon-Engel and Mike Jackson tell the fascinating story of how Armstrong went where no one had gone before, leaving his mark on the powdery surface of another world. Even at an age when other boys were just learning to drive, Neil was training to reach the skies. He went on to study aeronautical engineering, win medals as a fighter pilot, try out the X-15 experimental rocket plane and become one of the elite few chosen to be a NASA astronaut...where he took the test pilot's credo of 'higher, faster and farther' to thrilling heights.
