Thai meals typically consist of rice with many complementary dishes shared by all. The dishes are all served at the same time, including the soups, and it is also customary to provide more dishes than there are guests at a table. A Thai family meal would normally consist of rice with several dishes which should form a harmonious contrast of flavors and textures as well as preparation methods. Traditionally, a meal would have at least five elements: a dip or relish for raw or cooked vegetables is the most crucial component of any Thai meal The other elements would include a clear soup (perhaps a spicy tom yam or a mellow tom chuet), a curry or stew, a deep-fried dish and a stir fried dish of meat, fish, seafood, or vegetables.

Anapanasati by the Tathagata should have been one among the top rankings. Words of the Buddha in regard to mindfulness of breathing, The Tathagata in his teaching addressed that Anapanasati shall fulfil the four establishments of mindfulness, which then fulfil the seven enlightenment factors, leading to true knowledge and liberation. These could have been achieved in one single in-breathing-and-out-breathing, providing one practices in accordance with the teaching of the Tathagata, the enlightened one For all being who possesses the ability to attain true knowledge, this would be one book worth studying because the book contains details of the suttas of the Buddha's own words in all aspects with regard to Anapanasati. This book would probably be the guide to liberation from sufferings by developing Anapanasati based on teachings from the Buddha's own words and not from those of his disciples It has been quite an effort in compiling the suttas in order to publish this book on Anapanasati. However, it has been apparent in his teachings that the Tathagata established Anapanasati as a "pleasant dwelling" and said of the many fruits and benefits of Anapanasati.

"April had come over the hill. And when Franklin crossed the road from the golf course, vaulted the low wall of his garden, and went up the path that was lined with regiments of crocuses, he might have seen many changes made by long soft hours of sun and new born hope. But he was in no mood for these things. All he saw was the picture that he carried in his mind all day and for many days, and which had flung him into tortures of anxiety, being a man who knew nothing of women. Lying in one cane chair with her feet on another, an unread book in her lap, and a new light in her eyes, was the girl whom he loved beyond the interpretation of words, and was in terror about because she was going to have a baby. Of all girls this one, sitting still, in deliberate loneliness, with her feet on a chair, her face turned up to an early star, and a smile on her lips that he had never seen before. Of all girls this one, whose young, slim beauty had enchanted his heart, whose restless energy had been sufficient to turn a mill and drive the engines of a ship, devise a hundred forms of dare deviltry, and bring a horse home quivering with fatigue. Of all girls, Beatrix, sitting alone, with her eyes on a star, and that smile on her lips...and her feet on a chair. She turned, sensing him and his love, and waved her hand. And with a sort of stumble, he went up, and knelt at her side with his head in her lap. Oh God, he said, knowing nothing of women, what have I done to you? What brutes, men are. And she put her lips to his hair and laughed."
