This debut book is a compilation of years of writing: retrieved as hand written notes on loose sheets (Some of which have been lost), plays prose, political and social essays, reports on Consumer Rights and personal recounts. Naseer has posted a huge repository of poetry and political satire. This book will interest the general reader with interesting political and civic affairs, to students of political history, current affairs, social theories, philosophy and ethics, labor laws and public policies. Naseer has written eloquently in Urdu and English, with a poetic dash of Punjabi and Persian languages also. This corpus is a living jour-nal of Naseer's examination of life in all its nuances and facades. He has made poi-gnant analyses on political, social, psycho-logical, philosophical theories and system using his curious observation and logical reasoning whereby writing statements based on facts and honest research.

Pathophysiology of Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury and Use of Fingolimod in Cardioprotection is a deep examination into the mechanisms of myocardial ischemiareperfusion injury and role of fingolimod as a cardioprotective agent through its antioxidant, anti-apoptotic and anti-inflammatory effects. Dr. Ahmed explore the physiology and pathophysiology of myocardial metabolism under normal and ischemic conditions and focused on pharmacological cardioprotection. They provide a concise, yet rigorous discussion of Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury, Myocardial Ischemia during Circulatory Arrest, Myocardial Reperfusion, Myocardial Protection related to Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury and Role of Fingolimod in Cardioprotection. Pathophysiology of Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury and Use of Fingolimod in Cardioprotection is ideal for researchers, cardiovascular scientists, and clinical pharmacologists to further work in this challenging area and apply this knowledge to clinical trials for cardioprotection.
Atypical antipsychotics are commonly prescribed for the treatment of several psychiatric disorders including schizophrenia and psychosis. However prolong use leads to severe metabolic side effects such as weight gain, insulin resistance, impaired glucose tolerance, type 2 diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia and essential hypertension. These metabolic abnormalities lead to an increased cardiovascular diseases.According to various studies the prevalence of antipsychotic related metabolic adverse reactions vary from 23 to 50% -two-three fold higher than general population. It is therefore necessary to find the underlying mechanism by which atypical antipsychotics cause metabolic toxicity. This book basically provides review encompassing schizophrenia, its underlying cause, atypical antipsychotic use and its role in causing metabolic toxicity. It also covers role of adipose tissue and adipocytokines in metabolic toxicity. This review should be useful for professionals in pharmaceutical industry and research students in Universities.
