This is a coloring and activity book of a character I created in grad school: Good Kitty. This character was inspired by DeKooning's woman paintings . I use the teeth and lips. The Tall Ships come to Bay City, Michigan every three years . This time I was going to go to it and take pictures. This book is made up of those pictures but i digitally modified them. To make them "vivid" using a program on my phone. They look really "Cool" I chose not to include captions in this book. I think all of them were great( 12 came to Bay City) but my two favorite were the Draken Harald Harfagre ( the modern Viking Ship ) and the El Galeon Andalucia: the pirate ship from Spain. It was super crowded there Out of the 12 ships I only got onboard one: the Viking Ship It was still an amazing thing. Even though I wasn't that close to the ships I got some very good photographs of them I hope you enjoy this small sampling of Tall Ships from the 2016 Tall Ship Celebration in Bay City, Michigan. A vivid July day at the Saginaw Children's Zoo with Cam. Cam can mean two things: Cam, my son and Cam: my iPhone, my camera. All the pictures in this book were taken on one vivid July day at the Saginaw Children's Zoo Yes, just ONE DAY My intent of making this book is to illustrate that you don't have to go to Detroit or Toledo to go to a great zoo. There is one right here in Saginaw. All the pictures were manipulated to make them "Vivid". To make the image more "colorful". To illustrate to the viewer how I "see" the Zoo. This book contains images that are of personal photographs, original drawings and paintings manipulated with a computer program to give the image a "tainted" or antique look. I want the image to look like a photograph that you would find in your drawer that shows its "age". That is the photograph appears to be in "poor" shape. It has "character". This book is a "whatever book". This term I got from my son, Cameron. One of my sketchbooks he entitled "whatever". I liked the idea. So this book contain drawings and paintings that might not seem to relate to each other. I have a book inside a book . I have the kids book entitled " Kountin' Kitties " . That is a counting kids book with them counting "kitties" form 1-10. I also have religious images with Mayan glyphs with images from my personal comic characters I call Rock Hard Cupcake and Dead Fish.
