When the store is full and running over with misfits, isolates and hermits, in self defense, William the Dude and Cowboy Johnson build a motel, restaurant, and gift shop, and name it Cowboy Johnson's Desert Oasis. The misfits build a life together, then each one moves on, one after the other, as time passes. But they return to the store each year for Christmas, back to the roots they grew together to celebrate and strengthen each other for the new year ahead. An old fashioned read, one to be savored; a story from an era of time rich in two lane blacktopped roads, land yachts, and the many roads leading to endless love.
