This anthology of over four hundred eighty anecdotes in two volumes is an accurate annotation of entries that were taken from the pages of Huckleberry Henry's personal journal. It was found meticulously wrapped in buckskin and securely tied with leather thongs, tucked inside a rough hewncedar chest, that had, in turn, been carefully deposited by Henry in a small cavity in the rock beneath a wide granite overhang high above Lion Creek. There, Henry had made certain that it would remain protected from the elements as well as from woodland creatures and creepy crawlies. Subsequently, he left tantalizing hints relating to the whereabouts of the journal. It was these clues, gleaned by the author during many summers tramping in the woods along the Selkirk Crest, that led him to its discovery. It seems clear that the journal had been preserved by the Hand of the Almighty to give those of us who believe in the Strange Tale of Huckleberry Henry further insight into his every-day activities. The circumstances of his life in the woods above Priest Lake, Idaho, were unique; nevertheless, each of us can learn valuable lessons from his experiences that can be applied to our own benefit.

It is with all my love that I extend to each of you an appeal to enjoy this omnibus of my parting thoughts. Embrace them at face value or use them as springboards to reach new heights of self-awareness as, in your minds' eyes, you navigate the waters North of The Narrows that lead to our beach. As we map out the shoreline of our lives, one day we will all embark upon an adventure leading to an undiscovered country from whose bourn none of us will return. And yet, we have this consolation. God's invitations have already been sent out to each one of us, requesting our presence at a reunion that promises to be celestial in scale, and He has assured us that there need be no empty seats around His table.
Scientific, theoretical, theological, metaphysical, and fanciful perspectives relating to our place in the cosmos.Within this volume, you will find a little bit of country, and a little bit of rock and roll. It delves into the pedantic as well as the stimulating and spine-tingling aspects of the question: "Are we alone in the universe?" If you've looked up at the heavens to wonder where you fit in to the cosmos, if you've questioned whether there is a divine design, or if you've desired to go where no-one has gone before, this book is for you.I hope each chapter in this and its companion volume will become a springboard for your own personal enlightenment, as you probe the mind of God, which is, after all, the final frontier of exploration. May you be introduced to the wonders of exciting new dimensions of experience, as you seek out new relationships and new ways of looking at life, as you catch a glimpse of eternity, and as you visualize yourself living among the stars. May you boldly go into that far country where few have gone before. For your own part, through the ministrations of the Spirit, may you better understand its realm, which is the abode of the Gods.
Scientific, theoretical, theological, metaphysical, and fanciful perspectives relating to our place in the cosmos. This volume squarely addresses a number of straight-forward questions, while offering only elusively vague answers. Instead of closure, its real value is to stimulate further inquiry. When each chapter is studied though the magnifying and clarifying lens of sincere investigation, if we think ourselves full, read ourselves clear, pray ourselves hot, and let ourselves go, nature will caper. We can expect to receive insight, intuition, discernment, inspiration, and revelation pertaining to their subjects.I hope each chapter in this and its companion volume will become a springboard for your own personal enlightenment, as you probe the mind of God, which is, after all, the final frontier of exploration. As we assist others to make the journey to Christ, may we make small contributions to the Christmas season. May it be said of us that we knew how to keep Christmas well. And so, as Tiny Tim prayed: "God Bless Us, Every One!"
Hebrew Poetry in The Book of MormonWith awakening comprehension, as we discover the beauty of Hebrew poetry, we remember Nephi's counsel, to press forward with complete dedication and with the steadfast confidence of a sure testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ, with a perfect brightness of faith, hope, and charity, and with the love of God and of our brothers and sisters. As we feast upon the word of Christ, and ponder the doctrines of the kingdom, we receive the strength to endure one more day in righteousness. We focus on the prize of the high calling of Jesus Christ, and we can taste the principles of eternal life, which is the greatest of the gifts of our Heavenly Father. (See 2 Nephi 31:20).
The sole purpose of my interpretations of the principles and doctrines of the kingdom that make up this volume is to cultivate an interest to dig deeper into the themes woven into the tapestry of the temple, by turning to the scriptures and seeking inspiration from the Spirit. My goal is to provide a refreshing perspective that might assist the disciples of Christ to deepen their insight when they encounter telestial mile markers, terrestrial guidelines, and in particular celestial truth, during their quest for enlightenment in the House of the Lord.
First, it was the Holy Sabbath, and then the Sabbath; then Sunday, and now it is just the weekend. But, in the process, we have sown the wind, and now we shall reap the whirlwind. We must ask ourselves: Where will our sanctuary be when the wind blows and the rain beats down? To what safe harbors will we flee when the oceans of life are in turmoil? When we are tossed about as flotsam and jetsam, never coming to a knowledge of the truth, to what sources will we look for the stability we so desperately seek, or for the answers to the greatest questions in life that trouble our spirits?
Our Heavenly Father's Plan has provided us with a regularly recurring reassurance of a religious recalibration that auto corrects with a celestial precision. Faith envelops us in an intuitive appreciation of where we came from, the sure knowledge of why we are here, and the confidence to know exactly where we are going. It gives us the courage to maintain forward momentum during our journey to the Atonement, so we won't lose our balance, fall down, and injure our divine nature.
In the process of receiving revelation, our mystical relationship with God becomes indelibly etched into our spiritual identity. We become perfect in our faith to make a connection with Deity. That is how members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have the presumption to declare that it is our destiny to rule as kings and queens, priests and priestesses, in the house of Israel forever, to reign with authority over kingdoms, thrones, principalities, powers, dominions, and exaltations. That will happen only when our connection to God has matured to such magnitude and strength that our identities become indistinguishable from each other. That can only occur when we have received both His image and His likeness in our countenances in the process of a mind-bending spiritual metamorphosis. And it is revelation from God that facilitates that transformation.
