Book 1 was written on the premise that an election was to be held in the USA for a new President. The political parties hold several College Votes to determine their official candidate. Once that candidate is elected, the official election of the President is started and the party to which they represent get behind the official candidates; but sometimes that does not always occur. Candidates can become liabilities during their campaign; others divide their Party. This story tells of a candidate that divides the nation and the big business that control the employment of a majority of the workers. Negotiations within the parties and behind closed doors determine the outcome of the election; what will happen if one candidate wins and how the country will react. This story leads on from such a plot. The President assassinated and the preferred leader installed, the squad now turn their attention to Cuba and to bring back the dominance of the Rodriguez family as the most powerful family in Cuba and its underworld. Restrictions on trade with Cuba had been relaxed and Americans were once again welcomed in the Capital of Havana. American business had started to rebuild and the drug trade was increasing. The Rodriguez family wanted and needed to control the drug trade, but there were two families well entrenched and backed by high ranking politicians in Castro's Government. Luca (formerly Loco) and Ricardo (formerly Rock) would lead the family to either its downfall or its glory.

Should a particular candidate succeed, he has to be removed, but not until he is sworn in as the President of the United States of America. Why? Because to remove him prior to being officially inaugurated will see somebody appointed that may not be suitable to Americans. To make sure the newly elected President is removed after the Vice President, means the Leader of the Senate of the political party of the dead president will take over the position. Is that what the country and its business leaders are aiming for? Yes. The Rodriguez family are the head of a conglomerate which seek to influence the outcome of this election.

The 1929 Stock Market Crash saw many companies go to the wall and millions of workers without jobs. Many hit the roads and rail networks in hope of finding work. Jefferson Walden was 17 years old, married and a father to 3 boys, no job and thrown out of his home. He hit the road and headed for Lincoln; the Capital of Nebraska, hoping to find work and get his family to join him. He used the soup kitchens for food and on one visit, was offered work; but became tangled in a web of deceit and exploitation. The owners of the soup kitchen also owned a brothel attached to the soup kitchen and used hypnosis to change their new workers to submissive negro slaves. They saw themselves as negro, acted as Negros and knew no better. The worst part was that the hypnosis trigger was permanent as no release trigger was given to them. This story is about Jefferson and his journey through this mindless hell.

Born a Freeman, Peter is employed as an accountant at a large company manufacturing slave chains. In 2016 the volcanoes of the Pacific Rim all erupted within a short time spewing millions of tons of ash into the atmosphere blocking the sun's rays from the southern hemisphere and plunging it into an Arctic freeze causing the military to take control of the running of the country. They rule with an iron fist; forcing all youth of 16 years of age and older into the military. They remove the Constitution and bring back the class system; Freemen or the elite, workers with none allowed to lift out of their status, and slaves. Education for workers is only allowed until grade 8 so few have any education. Apprenticeships are hard to obtain and are the only way to avoid military service; which is for life. Slavery is legislated into law and the prisons sold to the slave holders. Once a slave, the slave owners have a cart-blanch license to do whatever they wish with their property and few slaves live longer than 2 years in captivity. Peter is arrested for a minor mistake in his accounting and forced into slavery. He refuses the slave guards request to join them as a guard and is sent to a chain gang. His gang find a way to overpower their guards and all run into the woods. Peter manages to stay free for over 2 years before John finds him and offers him a way to return to society as a worker. Peter agrees but is not aware of John's plans for him. Eventually there is a coup and the military is overthrown and Peter is placed as the head of the country by being made President. Peter does all he can to right the dreadful wrongs of the military and to find homes and work for the hundreds of thousands of slaves now released, and to allow the young military men to join society once again.
