Book four of The Aurora Chronicles. Aurora must decide between saving Al or fighting the Demon-spawn and she isn't sure if she wants to do either
Betrayed by the smuggler who was supposed to take her to find Brother Hundfanger, Aurora finds herself in The Brown Expanse, a slave to a Sheikh who wants her for his harem.... Befriended by a Were-rabbit named Tag and a Red Dragon, Aurora must break free from her enslavement and track down all her friends, either sold at auction, languishing in the Mines of Medbu, or fighting in the scattered arenas throughout the desert. As she tracks across the harsh wastelands, she begins to realize that she is far stronger than she ever thought she could be, stronger in fact than most of the deities in the world... Thus begins the third installment of The Aurora Chronicles.
Aurora's quest to find Brother Hundfanger, the half-Elf she thinks she loves, is not going nearly as well as she anticipated. In fact, it's been one disaster after another. If she isn't fighting off Angelicus or Stone Giants, then she is accidentally destroying towns and cities as she moves Warm-side in her attempt to get to The Barrier Mountains and the woods of the Elves. With Tzigana the half-Ogre cleric, Pyros the Dragon-Born fighter, Deirdre the Halfling thief, and of course Stiz the Satyr, she is becoming more and more powerful as an Imbe and yet, she has no idea why she is so important. To add to her problems, the gods and goddesses have decreed that she needs to decide the fate of The Land of the Five Rivers and do it sooner rather than later and she wants no part of that whatsoever. And then there is the issue with her realization that she just might love someone else more than Brother Hundfanger and what does she do with that.....
The final book in the series find Mordiar trying to deal with the fact that he is now seen as a god-figure by the Karai-Sin, that the females around him are more interested in him then defending the galaxy, and the Infinite Drives of the Karai-Sin have the nasty habit of exploding for no reason and turning entire systems into black holes.
In the second installment of the Mordiar Opus, the Nergal Demesne, with the murder of his wife and two children, has set loose on the multi-verse the wrath of Mordiar Morduk. Determined to destroy the Demesne and all who command it, Mordiar has taken the hitherto useless rebellion and turned it into a killing machine and the high command has taken notice. Volarus, one of Mordiar's best friends, has been tasked with bringing him in, dead or alive and as the one who knows him best and blackmailed by the High Councilor, he just might be able to do it. With Tatiana the Druzsni, Yajna the Jag't'gar, Marin the Hor'ack, Ogdoad the Ogma, and the now young Kerria, Mordiar will destroy all in his path to get to those who ordered the death of his family. But he will only find more death and betrayal along the way as well as a new adversary, the Karai-Sin, who have been tasked with spreading the religion of their gods to all they encounter or kill them, whichever is easier. And then there is Yajna's parents, a foe who might just be the most dangerous Mordiar has ever faced. Romance, pain, betrayal, lust, and death all face-off against Mordiar and the further along he goes, the more he loses himself and might never find his way back.
Mordiar Morduk was at the pinnacle of his career. One of the youngest to ever achieve the rank of Maxim Quirinus, he had won ever medal available, some more than once. Then one day he was branded a war criminal and forced into exile to avoid being executed. For twenty years he finds peace and solitude on a planet trying to get through its industrial age, his only companion a combat-mech named Bob. Then he meets Cheyenne and for the first time in his life he falls in love and starts to realized that he can raise a family here and be safe. When the Rebellion suddenly shows up and wants him to join, he flatly refuses. What happens next will change his life forever and plunge the multi-verse into a bloody and merciless civil war. This is book one of the Mordiar Opus Trilogy and begins Mordiar's quest for absolution and redemption in a multi-verse that requires the ultimate sacrifice for those who are un-worthy.
Book Three of the Va'Shan Trilogy finds the survivors of the Suppression of Caelus fulfilling their revenge against the Va'Shan Empire in a ending that none of them could have every seen happening.
When the young Lo'thar Mistshrouder of the Fikir Clan saved the even younger Lorelei Heartstealer of the Kar clan, all hailed it as the day when the two clans could end their ages-old war and usher in an era of peace and harmony. It was simple dumb-luck that Caelus was chosen at that time to be the next planet Suppressed by the mighty Va'Shan Empire. Lorelei was taken to serve in the pleasure Sanctum of Kral, leader of the Va'Shan. Lo'thar, together with Lorelei's best friend Maegil and the Dragor Jo'tal, are all that is left behind and they quickly discover that their magical abilities are no match for the advanced weapons arrayed against them. Thus begins the three book saga of Lo'thar, Lorelei, Maegil, and Jo'tal, caught up in the vile and corrupt world of a galactic empire they never even knew existed.
The end is near. Hundreds of planets have been laid waste by the Drek and the virus. The Restoration begins in earnest its campaign to destroy The Church of the Blessed Prophets. Lord Comte Mishi's rebellion against what's left of the Imperium gains solid ground as the Lord Cardinal Nerodia presents the Lord Marshall Bhagavan in chains. Ailanthus' band of friends grows smaller and smaller with death, betrayal and self-sacrifice, while his responsibilities grow larger and larger and he learns fully the distorted history of humans and Dwad-Mehstiv and what he must do to save the last remnant of humanity. Thus continues the saga of Ailanthus and Tethys, two friends caught up in a universe that wants more from them than they are willing to give.
The virus is sweeping through the human community. The Drek war machine continues to press forward, capturing and converting millions of humans. And the Ynos begin their military attacks in earnest, destroying Imperium forces at will. This is the Imperium that Ailanthus has inherited as the new emperor and he is making it perfectly clear that he doesn't want anything to do with it. Ailanthus will be betrayed, he will lose two close friends and his responsibilities as the new emperor will make it harder and harder for him to remain sane. Meanwhile, Lord Cardinal Cebrenia is working ever closer to control of The Church of the Blessed Prophets and her revenge and the Lord Cardinal Nerodia is getting closer and closer to insanity as all his hard work begins to slip through his fingers.
The escape was successful! Ailanthus, Tethys and their friends have escaped from the penal colony and the first place they find themselves is the black market planet of Kali Prime, home to some of the worst criminals and cheats not locked up. Wanting to ditch their stolen transport for something a little less obvious, they quickly learn that life outside K'ar Krack'a isn't all that different than it was inside. Meanwhile, Rohini and his spy master begin their attempts to hold the Imperium together from the rebellion boiling over at the heavy-handed methods of the new emperor. The Dei Glorium and her High Confessio of The Church of the Blessed Prophets begin their effort to destroy that which they want to save and Lord Cardinal Cebrenia Caroli begins her bumpy road toward revenge.
