The magnetoelectric properties of multiferroic materials have a high potential for applications in the fields of data storage, spin valves, spintronics, memories, sensors and microelectronic devices. The book presents both a detailed literature review of the field, and the experimental results obtained from various characterization and analytical techniques performed on four series of lanthanum orthoferrite type multiferroics. Questo libro descrive diversi metodi di determinazione analitica. L'acidit o l'alcalinit di una soluzione acquosa tradizionalmente rappresentata dai valori di pH. Il pH una misura dell'attivit degli ioni idrogeno ed essenziale in termini di adeguatezza e stabilit fisiologica. Un'altra applicazione della spettroscopia UV l'identificazione di composti sconosciuti. Confrontando lo spettro di un composto sconosciuto con gli spettri noti, possibile identificarlo. Quando due spettri coincidono, i composti sono gli stessi. Qualsiasi sostanza colorata o non colorata assorbir la radiazione nella regione delle lunghezze d'onda. I colorati e gli incolori assorbono la luce di lunghezze d'onda diverse in modo diverso e quindi si ottiene una curva di assorbimento con un modello unico.

Eine weitere Anwendung der UV-Spektroskopie ist die Identifizierung von unbekannten Verbindungen. Durch den Vergleich des Spektrums einer unbekannten Verbindung mit bekannten Spektren kann diese identifiziert werden. Wenn zwei Spektren bereinstimmen, handelt es sich um dieselbe Verbindung. Jede farbige oder ungef rbte Substanz absorbiert Strahlung im Wellenl ngenbereich. Farbige und farblose Substanzen absorbieren Licht verschiedener Wellenl ngen auf unterschiedliche Weise, so dass wir eine Absorptionskurve mit einem einzigartigen Muster erhalten.
