Das Buch analysiert die Situation der Provinz Venezuela zur Zeit des Spanischen Erbfolgekriegs (1700-1715), wobei die wirtschaftlichen, sozialen, politischen und ideologischen Merkmale sowohl der Iberischen Halbinsel als auch der Provinz als Analyseelemente dienen. Dieses Werk stellt einen Meilenstein in der Geschichtsschreibung dar, da es bisher keine Arbeiten gibt, die dieses Thema mit der notwendigen wissenschaftlichen historischen Strenge behandeln. Erstklassige dokumentarische Quellen bilden die Hauptquelle f r diese Untersuchung.

Quest'opera costituisce una pietra miliare nella storiografia, poich non esistono lavori precedenti che affrontino questo tema con il necessario rigore storico-scientifico. Le fonti documentarie di prim'ordine costituiscono la principale risorsa utilizzata in questa ricerca.

The book analyzes the situation of the Province of Venezuela at the time of the War of the Spanish Succession, 1700-1715, taking as elements of analysis the economic, social, political and ideological characteristics of both the Iberian Peninsula and the Province. This work constitutes a milestone in historiography, since there are no previous works that approach this subject with the due scientific historical rigor. The documentary sources of first order constitute the main resource used in the realization of the present investigation.
