Tutti i candidati presenti nella banca dati sono stati selezionati come potenziali indizi contro l'enzima MAO -B. stata osservata la diversit strutturale dei composti. L'elevata affinit del ligando Befloxatone attribuita alle sue quattro interazioni di legame al sito attivo della proteina. Anche gli altri composti mostrano una buona energia di legame. Pertanto, i risultati ottenuti potrebbero essere considerati come buoni indizi per la progettazione di potenti inibitori dell'enzima MAO-B, che si trova comunemente espresso nei pazienti affetti da Parkinson.

Die vorliegende Studie zielte auf molekulare Docking-Studien bekannter Inhibitoren des MAO-Proteins ab, um die Bindungsinteraktionen zwischen dem Inhibitor und dem Enzym auf molekularer Ebene zu verstehen. Alle Kandidaten aus der Datenbank wurden als potenzielle Leitstrukturen gegen das Enzym MAO-B ausgew hlt. Die strukturelle Vielfalt wurde bei den Verbindungen beobachtet. Die hohe Affinit t des Liganden Befloxatone wird auf seine vier Bindungsinteraktionen am aktiven Zentrum des Proteins zur ckgef hrt. Auch andere Verbindungen weisen eine gute Bindungsenergie auf. Somit k nnten die erhaltenen Treffer als gute Anhaltspunkte f r die Entwicklung potenter Inhibitoren des MAO-B-Enzyms dienen, das am h ufigsten bei Parkinson-Patienten vorkommt.
The present study was aimed at molecular docking studies of known inhibitors of MAO protein is to understand the binding interactions between the inhibitor and the enzyme at a molecular level. All Candidates from the database were selected as potential leads against MAO -B enzyme. The structural diversity has been observed in the compounds. The high affinity of the ligand Befloxatone is attributed to its four binding interactions at the active site of the protein. And other compounds also shows good binding energy. Thus, the obtained hits could be treated as good leads in the design of potent inhibitors of MAO- B enzyme, most commonly found to be expressed in the Parkinson's patients.
