During the prolonged war that eight Arab and Muslim fronts launched against Israel on October 7, 2023, tiny Israel, backed actively by only the U.S., has been determined to defend itself by counter attacking. The initial war effort's intent, headed and financed by Iran, was to harass Israel by occupying Israel's military, while Iran could develop its nuclear technology, with the goal to "erase Israel off the map."President Joe Biden's Administration, which has limited Israel's action to defense only, has supplied defensive arms in kind, but it openly forbids any offensive one, failing to explain how it is possible to defend against incoming missiles and rockets without attacking the bases from which they are launched. However, the new Trump Administration is expected to revise that policy and release Israel from that limitation.(About the Author)Raphael Israeli has taught Islamic, Chinese, and Middle Eastern history at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. This volume looks back at my approaching 90 years of age, and the beginning of my 10th (and assuredly last) decade on this earth. I use my long and diversified scholarly life experience to leave behind a final (and I hope lasting) impression of an Israel where I have lived since age 14, completed my studies, taught thousands of students, and written dozens of books on a variety of topics, mostly related to the Islamic world and some on China.I am departing an Israel that has been traumatized following the sudden deadly attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023, on 1,300 Israelis, and the abduction of 240 more into captivity in Gaza, including babies, the elderly, and women, all of whom were abused one way or another.Only a revolutionized Israel in all domains, which is acutely expected by all Israelis, in its military, political, social, cultural, and economic fields is likely to start mending these long-term wounds that have caused dislocation, refugees, misery, and destruction on both the directly related Gaza border, where 22 village communities have been annihilated, and the Lebanese border, where similar carnage and ruin are looming, unless the Hizbullah, which has gratuitously joined the fray, is tamed or defeated.(About the Author)Raphael Israeli has taught Islamic, Chinese, and Middle Eastern history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. The volume The Unheeded Warning combines the lived experience of public warning by this author against the mounting violence of radical Muslim immigrants into Australia, and the aftermath of the October 7, 2023 Hamas Massacre in Israel that shook the world. The radical Muslim threat is manifested against both the local Aussie Jewry and its support for Israel, as well as against the Western Civilization the radical Muslims are determined to alter to their tune. These immigrants have been trying the same tactics worldwide, including in Europe and in America. This trend has existed for the last few decades in the entire Western world, but exploded into unprecedented peaks of hatred, violence, and bigotry on the morning of the October 7 massacre, launched by Hamas from Gaza into adjacent Israeli territory, which resulted in the murder of 1,300 Israeli civilians in their beds, and the criminal abduction of 240 more into Gaza as hostages for blackmail that they and the active mediators of a "deal" shamelessly misname as "negotiations" for "exchange of prisoners."The worldwide Muslim radical movement that manifests itself, especially on university campuses across the West, is largely aided by old local antisemites, both on the Right and the Left.(About the Author)Raphael Israeli has taught Islamic, Chinese, and Middle Eastern history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. There was a time in international relations, when in spite of the regular interests and intrigues used to seek them, some were able to keep the fundamentals of decency, truth, conscience, the respect for facts, traditions and history, and the search for an objective truth. Nowadays, political positions can change from one day to the next, facts can be reversed, narrative is as valuable as fact and history, and all opinions appear to be as valid as others. The world is globalized, no national culture or value can rival any woke-ist claim or sentiment of what is or what must be, for the world oppressors are never right. These developments, or rather this degeneration, is the result of social media, which have not only addicted people to produce fake news at will, but have allowed opinions to be presented instantly and universally as fact, including the routine lies, sycophancy, and betrayal by Arab and Muslim terrorists. This volume describes the large gap between the image of the October 7 massacre by Hamas against Israelis and the ensuing Gaza War as a minor neighborhood rift between Israel and the Palestinians. But it ended up with two global forces arrayed against each other: Iran, the head of the Octopus with its tentacles in Syria, Lebanon, Gaza and Yemen, backed by the entire Islamic world and by Russia and China, the former to divert attention from Ukraine, the latter to ensure its oil supply; and the other, the U.S. that supports Israel in that rift, with several Western countries backing them only hesitantly and temporarily due to domestic Muslim pressures within their own borders. In our global world, where interfaith and interracial relationships are highly prized, thereby promoting the waning of nationalism, national culture, and specificity, the tendency is growing for many to feel like strangers in their own country. This is all in view of the unlimited mix of races, cultures, and people that we observe throughout the world that are changing at the expense of their national characteristics of cultures, which have been eclipsed toward disparities. This has impacted the mix of languages and ways of life, and has also resulted in the false conclusion that all people are alike, reason with the same rational arguments, and think alike, and that therefore they should be treated and should treat each other on the same grounds. The mounting cases of clashes and conflicts between radical Islam and Western civilization such as expressed in the Gaza War of October 7, 2023, launched by Hamas against Israel, where the pretext was not territorial or material, but civilizational and existential, suggest that various peoples and races are moved by different mindsets, and though using the same words and expressions, mean totally different, even diametrically opposed ideas and reasoning. Islamic countries, backed by authoritarian countries, support Hamas, while the liberal West stands by Israel.(About the Author)Raphael Israeli has taught Islamic, Chinese, and Middle Eastern history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Palestinians in Rebellion shows that while Israelis and Palestinians have uneasily co-habited The Land of Israel/Palestine during the past century, Israel has thrived as an independent startup country, while the Palestinian state entity never came into being, and instead has been controlled by Britain, Egypt, Jordan, and then Israel.Since May 2021, a major revolt of the Palestinians against Israeli rule has taken place. Taking advantage of their concurrent missile attack on Israeli cities from Hamas-controlled Gaza, the Palestinians in Judea and Samaria, as well as within Israel proper, rose in rebellion, using advanced weaponry and demonstrating unprecedented temerity in confronting Israeli troops, thereby causing enormous fatalities on both sides. In addition, deterioration in Israeli security conditions has unfolded, while a serious rift persists between right-wing reformist Israelis who won the majority of the votes in the November 2022 elections and the "liberal" constituency, which lost the elections and cannot accept its loss and admit its rival's new control.(About the Author)Raphael Israeli has taught Islamic, Chinese, and Middle Eastern history at Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
