While awareness of the sexual and gendered colonial violence faced by Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ people has grown, the field of Indigenous law and beyond has yet to fully engage with Indigenous feminisms, gender, and sexuality in a sustained way. Ravens Talking challenges this gap, treating Indigenous feminisms as essential, insightful, and deeply transformative. Through critical feminist analyses, this book examines key issues in Indigenous law, demonstrating how legal understandings shift when gender is consistently, meaningfully, and creatively engaged. The contributors to this collection confront the forms of power shaping these essential conversations and bring to the fore intergenerational Indigenous feminisms; Indigenous law and gender; the forms of expression and translation between and across legal and political worlds; and the rich array of disagreements and conflicts between Indigenous women. Ravens Talking intends to capture the complexities arising from Indigenous feminisms in living contexts to provoke questions and develop critical perspectives. Both intellectually rigorous and practically grounded, Ravens Talking is a vital contribution encouraging dialogue on Indigenous legal traditions, justice, and sovereignty.

Finding Freedom is the extraordinary true story of God's power to transform and heal one woman's broken life.
I have always been healthy but it seemed as if once I turned forty, my check engine light came on with a vengeance. The first thing that happened was a surprise gall bladder removal but I handled that like a champ. The second thing came at me like a freight train. Cancer... I had experienced family members with cancer but they were all older. I was only in my early forties so how could this possibly happen. Plus, this was breast cancer. I had no family history of breast cancer. Little did I know just how wild an adventure I would go on. This was a fight for my life, my family and everything that I love.

Super-heroes, said to represent justice, have saturated popular culture at a time when the American criminal justice system is under intense public scrutiny and re-evaluation. Do the super-heroes we celebrate really represent the best we can be? How do the stories we tell ourselves about justice help society understand the endeavor of protecting citizens and making itself better? In this book of essays, contributors from around the world explore these questions and more from many perspectives, encouraging a more conscious discussion about the most fundamental element of super-heroes. From Sequart Organization.

Hi I'm Juliet. I'm 10 years old. And I'm nearly a vet It's really hot and dry in the outback where my grandparents live. I'm so excited that Chelsea is coming with us to visit them. I wonder what outback animals we'll see? My cousin Jarrod will be there, but I get the feeling he doesn't like me very much, and--even worse--he doesn't seem to like animals Maybe this is my chance to change his mind.
Hi I'm Juliet. I'm 10 years old. And I'm nearly a vet There's a cat show in town and some of the cats are going to board at Mum's vet clinic. Chelsea and I can't wait to see all the different types of cats. The owners have special techniques for preparing their pets for the show--and some are very fussy. A terrible bushfire has struck and Mom's vet clinic is in chaos. Every day more and more injured baby animals arrive. But who knew that babies needed so much feeding I may never sleep again
My best friend Chelsea and I love animals. I have a dog, Curly, and two guinea pigs, but we need more pets if I'm going to learn to be a vet. Today, we had the best idea ever . . . We're going to have a pet sleepover Of course, there's no need to tell our parents about it. I mean, what could possibly go wrong with having a few extra pets to stay?
Hi I'm Juliet and I'm 10 years old. And I'm nearly a vet Chelsea and I are helping our friend, Maisy, get her pony ready for the local show.
