Authors present a framework for evaluating combat support requirements, basing posture vulnerabilities, operational resilience, and mitigation strategies to support combat operations in a denied environment. Analysts can assess combat support design vulnerabilities against attacks by near-peer or regional powers and the costs, effectiveness, and risks of alternative strategies to mitigate potential adversary anti-access/area-denial capabilities.

More than anything else, Franco dreams of going pro some day. After all, his soccer coaches say he's the best kind of player--more giving than greedy, preferring to rack up the assists instead of scoring goals. And that method works just fine until Franco has to change schools. On his new team, the Warlocks, Franco's pass-first approach to soccer just isn't working. To make matters worse, the team is filled with ball-hogs, and their coach doesn't seem to care. Franco refuses to let his dream of going pro die, but the new team is pretty much a living nightmare...

"911 CALL HOME" "URGENT CALL ME" "Josiah has been hurt, call ASAP" It's every parent's nightmare. As worship leader Ricardo Sanchez's flight touched down and he turned on his cell phone, he was bombarded with desperate texts and phone messages from his wife. There had been an accident, and his son's life was hanging in the balance. How do you find the endurance to keep going when the pain seems overbearing? How do you "run to win" when you feel the very wind has been knocked out of you? In "It's Not Over "Ricardo shares how his family found the strength and hope to make it through their darkest hour. If you've lived life, you've experienced pain. Whether it's the day-to-day hustle or a tragic incident, it sometimes seems as if there's a force that wants to take you out of the game. Poetry. As Yevgeny Yevtushenko recounts, Ricardo Sanchez was one of the creators of la poesia chicana and his voice was the concentrate of many silent voices. His written poetry was ambassador of the non-written sufferings of so many chicanos, whose barefoot feet were in the USA, but whose barefoot soul was endlessly walking sobre la tierra seca mexicana, muriendo de la sed. Ricardo Sanchez (1941-1995) is considered one of the fathers of the Chicano literary genre and is one of the most published and widely anthologized Chicano writers. His family had roots in New Mexico for five generations, but he was raised in El Paso, Texas. Sanchez earned a PhD in American studies and cultural linguistic theory from the Union Graduate School in Cincinatti, Ohio, and taught in several schools throughout the US. He traveled continuously, lecturing and reading. The Loves of Ricardo is published posthumously. Sanchez's papers are archived at the University of Texas, Austin, and at Stanford University.
