Michael Francis is a disillusioned university student with a drug habit. His girlfriend of two years leaves him and his tutor tells him he will fail every subject at the end of the year if he doesn't get his act together.One night whilst driving home from a party, drunk and stoned, he knocks a female pedestrian down at a set of lights. Panicking, he leaves the scene of the crime and goes into hiding.He reads in the paper the following day that the woman he hit is seriously injured and in intensive care.
