This book provides a social history of Orange NSW through the eyes of a well-known early resident. In the mid-1960s W.E. sat down of a week and recorded his memoirs which were presented as a series of yarns. He chose the topics and just talked. They are not an interview. These tapes have finally been transcribed and presented in this book. A lot of fact checking has been undertaken and the personality and dates usually match perfectly. It provides the story of a fun-loving boy who became one of Orange's best known citizens.

The Link between Health, Social Issues and Secondary Education is based on country studies in six Sub-Saharan African countries - Eritrea, Mali, Namibia, Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania, and a literature review. It looks at the role of secondary education and training in promoting health, civics and life skills among the African youth. Specifically, this study focuses on examining which schooling programs are effective in equipping young people with life skills, which programs reduce drop-out and increase participation and how schools can become agents in tackling health and social issues.
Originally published in 1969 and as a second edition in 1976, this book gives a general account of the major Yoruba kingdoms and provides a synthesis of Yoruba and Igbomina history, culture and archaeology. The reasons for, and the chronology of the decline and fall of Old Oyo are also discussed. Much of the history reconstructed in this book was done so almost wholly from oral histories, with all evidence being subjected to rigorous examination.
... "What sets Stills apart from your standard rock photo book is the captions, written by Robert Smith himself." — WhyNow The Cure "Stills" follows the changing faces of one of the leading British rock bands during the post-punk and new-wave movements of the late '70s and '80s. As the band has continued over a period of nearly 50 years, front man and only constant member Robert Smith has maintained the band's popularity throughout the changing musical eras, while staying true to their individualistic style and quirkiness. Instrumental in the creation of the varying incarnations of The Cure is photographer Paul Cox, who first encountered the group on Top of the Pops in 1980. Having established a creative, productive and trusting relationship with the band, Cox's resulting work is The Cure in all their glory. Including over 200 colour and 75 black-and-white images, with accompanying captions selected and written by Cox and Smith, this book is a celebration of a seminal band through the lens of a skilled photographer.
