"Geography Matters" is a Key Stage 3 course created for pupils of all abilities. It provides an exact match to the requirement of the revised National Curriculum, and to the units of the Key Stage 3 Scheme of Work. The pupil textbooks for each year are parallel in their content coverage but are set at different levels, Foundation and Higher, to provide material at the right level and pace for both less able and more able pupils. Pupil books emphasize investigation skills, and integrated geographical skills such as map work and data analysis. The activities are linked to literacy and numeracy and have integrated ICT skills. Regular tasks provide feedback on progress and extention activities. There is a teacher resource pack to cover each full year at Key S tage 3. Each pack offers differentiated photocopiable worksheets and teacher's notes for the activity sheets. Matrices show how the scheme covers the new National Curriculum and links with the Scheme of Work, and there are teaching plants for each chapter. Guidance is included on differentiation, literacy and numeracy. Other photocopiable resources include outline maps, diagrams and writing frames.

Data warehouses and data lakes each evolved to meet a set of specific technology and business needs and values. As organizations often need both, there has been increasing demand for convergence of both technologies. Thus, the lakehouse was born. A lakehouse couples the cost benefits and versatility of data lakes with the data structure and high-performance data management capabilities of data warehouses into a single unified data store that can be consistently and efficiently accessed, governed, analyzed and consumed by AI applications. Lakehouses are designed to help organizations get more from their existing investment in data warehouses and data lakes. It supports the existence of both through access to and management of a larger variety of combined data for increased flexibility, enhancing business intelligence and AI initiatives by revealing deeper insights into an organization’s data estates. This book is intended for technical communities, such as developers, data scientists, and C-level IT executives, as well as business communities, such as business managers requiring self-service analytics / AI, and C-level business executives.

'I read Roger Sander's book earlier this year. It’s warm, funny and well-observed.' - Jonathan Coe, Costa Award-winning author of Middle England David Tanner, ex-journalist born at the rag-end of the baby boomer years, and mates, Alan, Eric and Charlie, dissect the news at Ted's Cafe. Ted’s Cafe is the only place left open the men visited in their youth; a cafe founded by a Greek Cypriot and his son, who fled post-referendum, and now run by Jasiek and Danka, a Polish couple not sure of their future in a polarised Britain. David’s journal follows post-work life with more upheavals and surprises than he expected. He records the special relationship he has with his friends. They talk about the past, are bewildered by the present and unsure of the future in unprecedented times of change and upheaval. Can David find love again in his strained marriage, learn to be happy in retirement and make sense of an uncertain post-Brexit future with coronavirus on the horizon? A contemporary political novel about politics, the state of the world, friendship, retirement and romance.
