Diese Reaktionen waren eine Best tigung von Tucholskys Ideen. Lange hatte er nach einem Weg gesucht, Fotografien als Tendenzbild zu benutzen, die Bilder zum Sprechen zu bringen und so zur Waffe werden zu lassen. Die Rezeption seines Deutschland-Buches, das in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Fotomontagek nstler John Heartfield entstand, zeigt, wie treffend es Tucholsky verstanden hatte, diese Waffe zu f hren und brennende, aber auch unliebsame Fragen seiner Zeit anzur hren.
