Over a span of more than a decade, poet and photographer Sheree K. Nielsen, her husband, and their fur babies have visited Sunset Beach, on the coast of North Carolina, many times. They have experienced the chilly air of March, the sun-kissed month of May, the salty sea sprays of September, and the Halloween-hued sunsets of October. There Nielsen has found comfort and solace while walking the beach.
