P p , a small runt of a Pekingese lives in Paris with his owner Lisette, who is a very little girl with a hearing problem. Does that stop them from doing things or having a wonderful time together? Not at all, since they have learned to "sign" to each other. They are "bon copains " (good friends ). Lisette can speak very well, but her hearing is declining and she has learned to read lips. She is very observant of things around her, more than most people. A boy visiting les voisins (the neighbors) next door has a first hand experience of just how handy that can be, when he is faced with the problem of P P AND MADAME'S WIG.
