New Zealand, also known as Aotearoa, the "Land of the Long White Cloud" in the indigenous language, offers breathtaking scenery. In our mind's eye we see high snow-capped mountains alternating with green valleys, while the sea holds up a mirror to all of this. Ever since Peter Jackson's film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings we have come to expect a hobbit or an elf behind every rock. In reality, however, we mostly encounter sheep, although their number is constantly decreasing. This volume of CURVES focuses on another, lesser-known New Zealand attraction: the incredible roads that can be found across the North and South Islands. Spectacular views are guaranteed here, as the panorama could hardly be more varied. Soulful driving is included! And if you need to reset your head full of impressions, there are numerous picturesque towns ready to recharge your batteries. Join Stefan Bogner on his tour of discovery through New Zealand! Text in English and German.
Originally planned for motorsport, just a happy chance landed the Carrera GT on the road: its technical data speak for themselves. The V10 naturally aspirated engine was a masterpiece of Porsche designers, while the chassis got its finishing touches through the fine tuning by rally world champion Walter Röhrl. This richly illustrated Porsche book presents the high-speed sportscar (top-speed 330 km/h) to the detail. A body of carbon-fibre-reinforced polymers, carbon-ceramic brakes, the pushrod suspension system: a lot of things distinguish the Porsche Carrera GT from other sportscars. The extra fact book compiles all information on this car – and with the Porsche coffee-table book in a fine box it makes for a brilliant gift for fans. Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of the Porsche Carrera GT! Text in English and German.

You do not need to go to California for scenic coastal roads or relaxed cruising - not when you have that right on your doorstep in Europe. Instead of chewing gum, eating burgers and drinking Coca-Cola, your travelling companions will experience liquorice, tea and shrimp rolls - and, of course, Porsche. In the latest Curves volume, Stefan Bogner travels the German coastline from von Emden to Hamburg, visits the North Frisian island Sylt, and takes a trip to Denmark. From Klitmoeller he goes to Copenhagen and Lübeck. The journey comes to an end in between seaside resorts and chalk cliffs on Rügen, an island in the Baltic. Text in English and German.

The 550 Spyder is one of the most exclusive Porsche models of all times and is considered a legendary part of German automobile history. In 1953 Porsche began to build cars especially designed for motorsports, starting with the 1500 RS Spyder, as it was officially called at the time. The sporting successes of the Porsche 550 Spyder are known to all: In 1956 Umberto Maglioli achieved the first motorsports overall-victory for Porsche at the Targa Florio. Numerous victories and podium finishes followed. Until 1957 only around 100 Spyders were built, which makes the car one of the most expensive Porsches today. In 1955 James Dean became a tragic part of the Spyder story when he was killed in an accident while driving a 550 Spyder. In this beautiful, slipcased, book, Stefan Bogner captures the classic and pure form of the Spyder and presents some of the rare original models. A separate factbook contains well - and lesser - known information on this groundbreaking sports car. Text in English and German

Follow Stefan Bogner on this road trip between ice and lava and discover the rough charm of Iceland! Text in English and German.
