Genesis not only introduces us to the beginning of creation, but also the beginning of God's plan to solve the problem of sin. In the lives of Abraham and Lot, we see what faith looks like as it journeys with God. We will see many lessons from the lives of these two men and others as God plan unfolds.

The book of Genesis is about beginnings. A beginning is a point in which something starts. Genesis means beginning. This book begins the Holy Scriptures and shows us the beginning of very important things. It serves as a foundation for all the Scriptures which follow. Do you know what a foundation is? A foundation is the basis or support for something. It could be an idea or fact which serves as a foundation for a belief or teaching. For example, being friendly is a foundation for having friends. An unfriendly person will likely not have friends (Prov. 18:24).
