Max Mercury-Chromoman-knew little of his father Rex Mercury, who died before Max was born. Much later, Max would learn that Rex was a smuggler extraordinaire and that Rex's last job put millions in an offshore account and was a secret operation funded by no other than the United States Secretary of Defense, Sanford Shields. The unsanctioned plan required Rex to pirate a nuclear weapon from North Korea which, Shields believed, would provoke a retaliatory strike on North Korea's weapons facility. But things went very wrong. Although Max Mercury's birth seemed routine, he soon demonstrated extraordinary abilities in biological science. Decades later, Max Mercury-Chromoman-will need his supernatural talents if there is any chance of thwarting an apocalyptic scheme, masterminded by none other than Chip Shields, son of Sanford Shields, who is out to avenge the death of his father. To save the world order, Max's plan will require the tandem use of risky, biological and communications manipulations never attempted. Above all, Max and his team, consisiting of his wife, Brooke, and his longterm friend and telecommunications genius, Riku Hayashi, will need a miraculous amount of luck for any chance of success.
