Sorcerer is a book in the form of a script/novel/manual about the pleasures of being with others and of being alone. Three friends hang out and share a long and unremarkable conversation about getting dressed, headaches, ticks, compression fantasies, surgery, and their aspirations, among other things. The characters find contentment in each other's company, conversing in the placid, eerie rhythms of a sitcom in which conflict never arises. When two of the friends go home for the night, the remaining one watches TV, dances, and takes apart his face in front of a giant mirror.

Honestly is an intimate, quiet, and unresolved little book about talking and listening. It begins with research into a forgotten relative who was kicked out of the author's family after he was jailed for conscientious objection to WWII, and who then became an early member of the Living Theater. From there the poem swerves into a series of minor-key personal anecdotes, interlaced with conversations with friends about work and relationships. Throughout, communication is framed by the economics and psychology of the home. Dialogue takes place in close quarters--constrained by money, space, ego, and the blurry limits of empathy.

Poetry. yet this Lenin likes to gaze into the distance yet that Lenin dislikes Futurism yet this Lenin likes white wine with his caviar. The lake, stagnant in its worsening, dust what blows across the algae as a plume of white smoke billowing formats the night. Which Lenin do you prefer? This Lenin? Or That Lenin? You decide. Includes a handy Index and multiple choice exam.
