Rabbi Stuart Dauermann holds an MA and PhD in Intercultural Studies. He is a Messianic Jewish futurist who focuses on increasing understanding and enriching community life at the intersection of the Jewish and Christian worlds. "What does it mean to be a Jewish disciple of Yeshua? Where does one begin? Rabbi Dauermann answers these questions in highly practical, gastronomical, and inspiring ways. It is a must-read for all Jewish people who want to start the journey of following Israel's Messiah on the right foot, and for members of the tribe who have been walking this walk for a while and need a refresher, and food for thought. Eat This Book is a go-to resource on Messianic Jewish discipleship and spiritual formation "David Rudolph, PhDDirector of Messianic Jewish StudiesThe King's University "Rabbi Stuart Dauermann has done it again. Eat This Book is a creative, erudite, and often humorous guide for discipleship that is 'user-friendly and Judaism-positive.' It is a contribution that has been missing and desperately needed, a helpful curriculum primarily for discipling Jews as Jews. It will also benefit anyone from any background who wants to grow and mature spiritually in their faith. I highly recommend this work and look forward to using it within my own congregation."Rabbi Joshua BrumbachPresident, Messianic Jewish Rabbinical Counciland Senior Rabbi of Congregation Simchat Yisrael, West Haven, CT "This is an amazing book, a lovely book, so well expressed. It is an engaging book and will benefit all who seek to apply it."Daniel Juster, ThD, of Restoration from Zion, First President and General Secretary of the UMJC "Rabbi Dauermann has invited us to the banquet table for a sumptuous feast, from the goblet of prayer to a parting glezel tei. Seasoned with Jewish background for a deeper understanding, it is not an abstract work of theological speculation, but rather a practical menu that liberally employs a food metaphor motif. To miss out on this repast is to miss a five-star delight that will enrich your palate and reignite your taste buds for the spiritual f te ahead. The proof of the pudding is in the reading. Definitely, Eat This Book "Rabbi Elliot Klayman, JDPast President, Union of Messianic Jewish CongregationsInstructor, Messianic Jewish Theological InstituteExecutive Director, Messianic Literature Outreach "How can we weave discipleship to Rabbi Yeshua into the fabric of our lives? Rabbi Stuart Dauermann presents an organic approach to Messianic Jewish spirituality at home and around the table, with clear and compelling recipes guiding Jewish disciples of Yeshua and their families toward growth in prayer, Torah learning, Shabbat, and other core practices that make being a follower of Messiah a joy and a delight."Rabbi Yahnatan Lasko Beth Messiah Congregation, Rockville, MD

"There are many aspects to this task of rabbinic training, but four closely related questions rise to the surface as requiring primary attention. The first is a question of description: What ought to be the functions performed by a messianic Jewish rabbi? The second is a question of legitimacy: What similarities exist between the functions performed by messianic Jewish rabbis and rabbis in the wider Jewish context such that the rabbinate in both contexts may legitimately be seen to be variations on the same theme, and the messianic Jewish rabbinate therefore legitimately a rabbinate? The third is a question of differentiation: How and why are the functions performed by a messianic Jewish rabbi contextually particularistic and therefore different from those performed byChristian clergy? In other words, how is a messianic rabbi more than just a Protestant Pastor with switched labels? The fourth is a question of biblicity: Is there biblical justification or precedent for the proposed paradigm of the rabbi as a surrogate priest? Each of these questions emerges from messianic Judaism's interaction with different but overlapping audiences. The question of description is addressed primarily to the messianic Jewish context. The question of legitimacy is addressed primarily to the wider Jewish world. The question of differentiation is addressed primarily to the church world. The question of biblicity is addressed both to the messianic Jewish context and the church world. And in all cases, looking over our shoulder is the general public." --from the Prologue

In Christians and Jews Together, Stuart Dauermann challenges Christians and Jews to discover new ways to partner together in serving what God is up to in the world. He imaginatively connects the thinking of Paul the Apostle with the Prophet Ezekiel, forming a previously unexplored bridge between Jews and Christians. This is an excellent resource for Christians seeking new ways to understand and share their faith within the context of deep respect for their Jewish neighbors, relatives, and friends.

In Keeping the Faith in Interfaith Relationships, Stuart Dauermann calls for a reconsideration of the long held assumption that a Jew who believes in Jesus exits from Jewish life. Dauermann represents Jesus, not as an exit, but as an entrance into more serious engagement with Jewish life. The implications of this perspective for interfaith couples, both Christians and Jews, are profound.
