Jo o Silva is a young boy employed at a perilous uranium mine in Novo Brasil, a futuristic portrayal of Brazil where green energy is the sole source of power and prosperity abounds. As an unintended consequence of the nuclear energy revolution, most countries developed nuclear arsenals under the guise of energy research. The world teeters on a delicate balance of Mutually Assured Destruction. But that is the price we pay for peace and sustainability. To cope with the mine's harsh working conditions, the miners find solace in their shared love for the martial art of capoeira. However, tragedy strikes when the mine collapses, claiming numerous lives, including Jo o's brother Mateus. Jo o embarks on a path of vengeance, ultimately ascending to the position of Champion of Novo Brasil, determined to seek justice for the fallen miners and his radiation-plagued hometown. But will UNIT, an international cartel that controls the production and distribution of uranium, be able to stop Jo o before he avenges his comrades and unveils the secrets of this brave new world?
