In Book 13 of this adventure series, Grumpy the Iguana and the Green Parrot are looking for a tree house in their new city of Naples, Florida. They have hired the services of Mr. Pelican who just happens to know where all the available tree homes are in the area. Mr. Pelican can be found on the historical Naples Pier. He has helped many animals find their forever homes and now Grumpy and Green Parrot are hoping that he will be able to do the same for them. This is an exciting new beginning for the two friends who have stuck together through thick and thin.

Baby will be turning two years old soon, but she is not looking forward to it. Turning two means she will have to live her life on her own, without her mom. "Remember that we are proud Manatees," her mom explains. "We are peaceful and kind to others." Baby understands, but she still doesn't know why the other fish won't play with her. "One day," Baby's mom explains, "you will meet your soul tribe." But what is a soul tribe and when will Baby meet these new friends? Maybe today will be the day?

Grumpy the Iguana, Green Parrot, Mr. Squirrel and Little Mouse are enjoying a picnic in the park when Little Mouse decides to walk over to the dock to look at the fish swimming in the Marina. But instead of seeing fish, he sees a whale Or is it? Little Mouse runs back to the picnic to tell his friends about what he saw, which turns out not to be a whale, but a young manatee named Baby. Growing Up is Hard To Do (part 2) is the continuation of Baby's story, in which she is learning how to find her way in this great big world on her own.

In Babies on Board (part 1), we followed Grumpy the Iguana and friends to the ocean for a family beach day. It was here that they ran into their old friend, Giant Sea Turtle, as he awaited the arrival of his children. Babies on Board (part 2) continues the story. Grumpy and friends return to the beach, only this time it is in the middle of the night. They are there to make sure that all of the baby turtles make it safely to the sea where their father anxiously awaits their arrival. But as we all know, nothing ever goes smoothly when it comes to Grumpy the Iguana, the Green Parrot, Mr. Squirrel and Little Mouse. Follow along and watch as our heroes fight against time and a street light to help the baby sea turtles find their dad.
