These course notes and workbook are intended for technicians and technologists who build and troubleshoot solid state lasers.

This volume is intended for Laser Technicians who assemble, align, burn-in, test, and tune/troubleshoot lasers until they meet all performance specifications.

This notes, workbook and self-test booklet is intended for Level I Laser Technicians. To be fully effective in their job functions they must understand laser and optics principles, and laser beam performance specifications. This booklet focuses on all aforementioned topics.

This laser lab fundamentals manual covers knowledge expected of, and tasks typically performed by, entry-level laser/electro-optics technicians particularly in connection with testing the performance or characterization of laser beams.

This book aims to explain hands-on methods and techniques employed to fabricate lasers, a process commonly referred as laser alignment in the industry. We shall not strive to explain how lasers work, but rather how to make them work. Moreover, books on laser theory are numerous and exhaustive. This book should be of interest to technicians and technologists who build lasers. Moreover, those that work with, supervise, or manage them shall find it useful as well if they lack a background in lasers. In addition, those who integrate lasers into their systems will understand their OEM vendors better if they go through this book/course.

This book examines the impact of Christian missionary work in Africa since the dawn of the twentieth century from an African perspective. I feel as though God put me in a unique position to witness over a century of Christian work through my parent's eyes, starting when Mt.Silinda Mission and the United Church of Christ in Zimbabwe (UCCZ) were simultaneously founded in 1893, followed by my and my late husband's Christian work to date. As we enter the twenty-first century I feel obligated to share this gift God gave me with the rest of the world, for perhaps this is part of my mission and purpose in life. Even though this "Century Missionary Report Card in Africa" represents my specific interpretations, opinions, and views, I am almost certain that most African people who share a similar background with me will generally agree with my overall conclusions.
