Scotty the rescue dog is excited about his next big adventure. He is going to learn how to sail a small sailboat. Scotty always admired sailboats from afar, now he has a chance to learn how to sail by competing in weekly races with his friends.

Scotty awakes to a beautiful, sunshiny day in central Florida. He invites his friends, Pico the chihuahua and Lacey the Maltese, to go on a kayaking adventure to Caladesi Island. The fun never ends as these three race one another to the island and discover hidden treasures along the way.

Scotty is a sweet little dog who finds himself lost in the Florida panhandle. He is found by a stranger and brought to a local animal shelter. He is shuffled from shelter to shelter across the state of Florida until he lands in Seminole. A volunteer photographer went to a pet adoption event to take pictures and help place dogs in forever homes. She fell in love with Scotty and adopted him. She quickly learned how smart and adventurous Scotty is. He loves to meet new people and try new things. In this series of books, Scotty learns how to take care of a new puppy, run for mayor, how to sail, how to dance and so much more. His new adoptive family helps Scotty fulfill his dream of learning new skills. He is sure to bring big smiles and giggles to children as well as inspire them to try new things.
