In the mountains of Oregon, The winters can be quite dangerous. No one knows that better than Jacob Hendricks. Seeking isolation he's lived the danger for 10 years. Also running away is Kamryn Douglas seeking her own kind of isolation. She runs into Jacob, or rather after she takes a fall he joins the search and finds the unconscious Kam. Now she's trapped with him after the winter storms come early. She finds him rude and angry, he thinks she's an annoying intrusion. Not far behind her is a different kind of danger, and it's a danger Jacob has encountered before, and the reason he ran. The evil coming to find them connects them in an unsuspecting way.
