This pack contains a single copy of every Bug Club Phonics book (180 books in total). Titles are a mixture of fiction and non-fiction and include popular characters from Alphablocks to help all children develop a lifelong love of reading.

The Fresh Start Readers support the Read Write Inc. Fresh Start programme and are designed for independent reading in class or at home, after students have finished the Modules. The books are aligned to the phonic progression of the Modules to ensure students are confident in reading them independently and that they experience success. This Reader contains two texts which align with the phonic focus of Module 17 and Module 18. Take A Tour of Bikes and find out about stunts, velodromes and races. In My Diary ... Curtis is made to keep a BORING diary about his journey to school. Each book contains two high-interest fiction or non-fiction texts on topics that will appeal to older readers. There is a variety of genres across the series, including stories, graphic texts, narrative non-fiction and quizzes - so there's something for everyone. The books have a grown-up look and feel that resembles the books their peers are reading. They contain appealing, age-appropriate black and white or two-colour illustrations, and full-colour photos. Crucially, they feel manageable for struggling readers, avoiding large blocks of text and including short chapters and feature words. Independent reading is supported by a page before each text containing the Green Words, Red Words and Challenge Words they will come across in the text.

Big Cat Phonics for Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised has been developed in collaboration with Wandle Learning Trust and Little Sutton Primary School. It comprises classroom resources to support the SSP programme and a range of phonic readers that together provide a consistent and highly effective approach to teaching phonics. This photographic non-fiction book invites you in to experience the activities, animals, art and natural beauty of Kakadu National Park in Australia. Pages 22 and 23 allow children to re-visit the content of the book, supporting comprehension skills, vocabulary development and recall. Reading notes within the book provide practical support for reading with children, including a list of all the sounds and words that the book will cover.
