The government can't do anything right.It should be simple. It's a space mission. I need to go out to some weird planet to save my girlfriend. Very straight forward. I only have one requirement. Being a Slider, the cream of the crop in the monster world, I have only one flaw. I need to eat human flesh once a month to stay alive. It's an enzyme thing. I was engineered that way. All the government had to do was develop a meat substitute that would let me survive until I got back. Simple. Of course, they have to screw everything up.Now, I'm stuck with a dragon, two vampires, a butt-load of Gekkers, a sea serpent, a vampire hunter and a space monster. What could possibly go wrong? You guessed it. The meat substitute doesn't work. I'm growing weaker and weaker by the moment. To make matters worse, the space monster wants to kill me, the dragon can't have sex with the sea monster, so he's attempting to have his way with me, another dude, instead. Then, there's a Mind Rider floating around somewhere making everyone do weird things and the vampire hunter wants me to protect her.I think I'm going to have to eat the girl if I'm going to survive any of this.

The space resort is nearly complete. Everything should be perfect.It should be.Life without Melody isn't life at all. K-bar doesn't care if it will cost him his presidency. He needs to get her back. She just doesn't know how to fix a human body. Seeking out a real healer, Cathy finds Abigale, a dragon. It's hard to trust her at first. Cathy hasn't had much luck with non-human people. Exploring magic in its various flavors, Cathy and Abigale manage to revive Karen and Troy. However, once they're healthy, they still have to confront the wizard Amanda Moorhead. She's the most powerful being on the planet. If they defeat her, there is a chance they can free the prisoner and return to the normal world. They have a plan. Everything looks promising. Then the world changes again. Everything is different and nothing makes sense.

Back in his own time, K-bar is on his own. All of his friends have returned to their regular lives. K-bar has never had a normal life and isn't sure what to do with himself. He would like to meet a girl and settle down, but he still has the prophecy looming over his head. There isn't anything he can do about the prophecy, so he eases into a typical existence.Everything is going well until he learns of alien ships in his solar system. K-bar takes a day off to fix the problem. When he comes back it is like he has landed on a different planet. His whole life has fallen apart. The worst of all, he is arrested for the murder of the girl he just started seeing.Attempting to restore order, K-bar learns he is being set up by the werewolf Gingnon. Not only does he now possess an arsenal of weapons that make K-bar's personal force field useless, he recklessly infects a team of female football players with his lycanthropy.Werewolves, weapons and women... Not a good combination.

It had to be the name. There is nothing else it could be. Crap what a name. Crap is a slider.A slider is a very impressive and pretty scary monster. It didn't make sense that the lowest of the lowlife monsters wanted to be around him. He'd just gotten rid of a vampire, the most substandard monster around, when a trio of their counterparts glue themselves to him. It is amazing that the human race feels that they need the profession of vampire hunter. It is probably just one of those minimum wage jobs that they hang on people that can't make it as a dishwasher or a ditch digger. It is hard to tell how to hold a hammer the right way up, but it is even harder not to accidentally kill a vampire.Receiving his most difficult assignment to date, Crap is plagued with three vampire hunters that think he is a vampire. It's ridiculous, but intelligence isn't a prerequisite when it comes to vampire hunting. Trying his best not to trip over the hunters, Crap tracks his prey all the way back to Cornucopia. Along the way he gets on the wrong side of the King under the Lake and a former vampire that wants to return to her monstrous ways.To top everything off, the President of the United States is trying to make a move on his girlfriend. The moon will never be the same.

After the giants arrive, it is only a matter of time. No one understands them. No one owns them. The only thing to do with them is to go to war.
