Emily Smith is an average student at a university known for its advanced studies in science and mathematics. At least she led them to believe she was average. She had been having dreams of a strange new math that solved space time travel. After meeting with her physics professor who completely dismissed her she was downcast and while walking near the school a man named Blain entered her mind and told her to follow him. She had the gift of reading minds since childhood and would not miss an opportunity to talk to him as he was the first to telepathically talk to her. She was angry when he refused to answer her questions, until upon entering a clearing she saw a saucer hovering several feet off the ground. Little did she know she would be pivotal in saving the human race from extinction There were others seeking her in order to destroy her from the face of the earth, and then the rest of the human species. Young Ensign Robert Aaron was gifted with a high degree of intelligence and had graduated first in the Alliance Space Academy thus he was given the opportunity to choose his first assignment. He chose Lagrange Point Station Two. He believed that if there were to be any contact with an Alien Race that this base would be the most likely place of first contact. He experienced euphoria and fear when he first observed the alien space craft off in the distance. His fear turned to sheer terror when two light craft detached from the ship and started toward the Space Station.

Recruiting Sergeant Major Sophia Gold as interpreter, Parson must investigate not only what caused the crash, but who supplied its cargo. And the answers they find lead to a nightmarish revelation.A new Balkan war is brewing, driven by a man of ruthless ambition. Parson himself flew during the wars in Bosnia and Kosovo, so he knows their horrors firsthand. But neither he nor Gold has seen anything like what's about to happen now.

Vast, diverse, dynamic, and turbulent, the true nature of Africa is often obscured by its poverty-stricken image. In this controversial and gripping guide, Tom Young cuts through the emotional hype to critically analyse the continent's political history and the factors behind its dismal economic performance. Maintaining that colonial influences are often overplayed, Young argues that much blame must lie with African governments themselves and that Western aid can often cause as much harm as good.

This volume has been written at a time when Mozambique is coming to the end of its second decade of independence and there are signs that the debilitating South African-backed rural insurgency may at last be on the wane. The bulk of the literature on the country has been concerned to promote causes rather than face realities. However, the much greater openness of Mozambican society and the Mozambican government in recent years, as well as the appearance of new research, makes it possible to attempt a reinterpretation of events. This analysis of the post-independence period sets out to challenge much of the conventional wisdom. In particular, it suggests that the significance of the "liberated zones" was greatly exaggerated by Frelimo and its sympathizers in order to give the regime ideological respectability.
