Last year I had a chance to discuss guitar, guitar books, and music theory content with the Argentinean guitarist Mauro Pantin, and I immediately thought that we should find ways to collaborate, beyond the obvious performance angle. This new project - Get Ready for the Real Book: The Basic Foundations for Jazz Guitar - is our first collaboration and is meant to be a primer for guitarists who want to have enough theory background, conceptual understanding, and theoretical knowledge to dive into jazz, improvisation, and the real book.
